    Admin Clerk: Electrical Section MN 3899/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. Computer literacy certificate. Valid Driver’s License (will be an added advantage). Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
    • Secretarial and administration skills. Strong work ethic. Adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail, and strong understanding of the motor vehicle industry.
    • 02 to 03 years relevant experience in Administration work related within Local Government Authority.

    DUTIES

    • Ensures that all tasks delegated by the executive director and the respective section heads are done effectively and efficiently as deemed fit to be promptly attended as requested.
    • General admin duties for electrical section by: Undertaking routine correspondence duties by drafting replies and returns where necessary for future reference within the electrical section.
    • Performing fast and accurate typing duties for the Superintendent / Foreman of the electrical section by utilizing a word processor or personal computer to effective operation of the administration within the section.
    • Directs and controls telephone calls relating to complaints and Service requests by performing the necessary screening and redirecting calls where appropriate to ensure the correct people receive the calls pertaining to enquiries. Action duties pertaining to leave administration.
    • Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time

    Artisan Assistant: Sewer Section MN 3906/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 10. Grade 12 will be an added advantage. Driver’s license code 10 & with PDP will be an added advantage. Must be able to operate various hand, electrical and gas operated tools/equipment.
    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (must be bilingual). Ability to follow & execute given instructions. Good physical health, basic skills & know how of doing physical work.
    • A hard-working self-disciplined person 2 (Two) years’ work experience in Sewer/Purification environment within Local Government Authority. 

    DUTIES

    • Assisting the Millwright with daily tasks assigned by the supervisor: By doing any work with hand tools on water and sewerage excavation sites e.g.  hands, picks, shovel, broom and various manual labour equipment tools.
    • Being responsible for loading and off-loading of material and equipment of the section with protected hand and safety tools.
    • Clean in and around the working area of responsibility with broom and various manual labour equipment tools to ensure a clean environment. Do any labour related work when requested by either the supervisor or the superintendent of the section.
    • By executing all legal instructions form the supervisor to ensure productivity and sooth running of the Water, purification and Sewerage section. Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

    Technician: Bulk Water MN 3910/25

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. National Diploma or NQF level 6 Qualification in Civil Engineering. B-Degree in Civil Engineering will be an added advantage.
    • Technical Qualification in Civil Engineering will be an added advantage. Registered candidate with ECSA will be an added advantage.

    DUTIES

    • Assist with formulation of strategies for water conservation and water demand management. Identifying the requirements for infrastructural replacement, refurbishment and specialized interventions to reduce water losses Projects management from inception to closure associated with Water Demand Management. Maintenance and refurbishment of Water Infrastructure associated with water demand management.
    • Conduct total water balance for the municipality and monthly reporting. Conduct zonal water balance and monthly reporting. Investigate water losses and non-revenue water and reporting. Operations and maintenance of water infrastructure (WDM).
    • Investigation of water losses and monthly reporting. Investigations of customers water consumption patterns and reporting (Revenue & Water Losses). Daily Operational Monitoring of water infrastructure and report writing (WDM). Addressing deviations on operational infrastructure.
    • Zonal water balance, water losses investigations and reporting. Monthly report writing and reporting. No Drop regulatory functions administration and reporting. Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time.

    Senior Clerk: Clearance _ MN3911/25 1

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. National Diploma or equivalent qualification in financial management, accounting. Code 08 (EB) driver’s licence.
    • Computer Literate (Solar, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Good telephone etiquette. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. 

    DUTIES

    • Issue clearance figures. Transfer of property ownership. Refunding of credit after property transfer.
    • Administration and general enquiries: Filing documentation. Handling of telephone and written queries relating to clearances. Answering and referring queries.
    • Attend to walk in clients. Verify and allocate payments received from attorneys for clearance certificates, to ensure the correct payment is done for the correct account.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12. National Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting, or equivalent qualification. Valid Driver’s License will be an added advantage. Computer Literate (MS Office, Solar, SmartGov or equivalent eProcurement system).
    • Knowledge and understanding of the MFMA and Supply Chain Management prescripts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). 

    DUTIES

    • Provide a comprehensive administrative support function within the Supply Chain Management Section.
    • Assist with the administration of purchase requisitions and sundry vouchers. Implement proper record keeping of Supply Chain Management processes and documentation.
    • Liaising with suppliers and end users. Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (Supervisor) from time to time.
