    Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist - Mafikeng

    Work Description

    The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist is responsible for maintaining an understanding of all Programmes and Projects undertaken by Aurum’s Health Programmes Unit (HPU) and the respective deliverables as a Specialist, ensuring accurate and efficient analyses of Database and rendering Expert advice and inputs towards Strategic Development within the M&E Department.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Liaison with Stakeholders
    • M&E System monitoring and improvement
    • Database analyses
    • Stakeholder reporting and advice
    • Quarterly and annual reporting for PEPFAR
    • Safety, SOP and legislative compliance

    Duties:

    • Coordinate, collaborate and liaise with all Stakeholders towards the achievement of Organizational goals
    • Liaise with Data Managers and Operations Managers on a daily basis to ensure the timeous delivery of Data for Reporting preparation
    • Attend M&E Stakeholder Meetings to ensure continuous Learning and Development
    • Assist with the development and implementation of M&E Tools
    • Analyse and synthesize Data for Thematic Reports on M&E Findings to inform the HPUs of decisions on Programme/Project performance-related issues
    • Assist with the compilation of M&E Feedback to the HPU as required
    • Keep abreast of the latest developments in Monitoring and Evaluation and network with other Institutions for Best Practices and mutual Learning
    • Participate in the preparation of Quarterly and Annual Reports for key Aurum Stakeholders
    • Perform any other duties as assigned
    • Ensuring quality timely Reports:
    • PEPFAR Quarterly Report
    • PEPFAR Annual Report
    • Other Reports as requested by Stakeholders
    • Oversees, coordinates and manages the M& E Department indirectly through planning, scheduling, evaluating and feedback
    • Comply with integrity

    • Management of Management M&E Team to ensure deadlines are met, Funder Invoices are accurate and overseeing overall output from the Team

    Requirements

    Education

    • A Post Graduate degree or diploma or equivalent in Statistics/Social Sciences or related field

    Experience

    • 4 to 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Familiarity with Statistical Software Packages (Medical Strata and Data, Advanced Statistical Software Programmes)

    Advantageous

    Enrolled Nurse - Cape Town

    Description

    The Enrolled/Staff Nurses is responsible for providing on-site and hands on gaps analysis, QI coaching to TB focal staff and facility staff, analysis of TB Indicators as well as assist in the co-ordination and management of QI Projects within supported facilities within a District.

    They will have a dual function in providing direct service delivery within the TB program at CHC level to update data recording systems and linkage to care activities as specified by Quality Improvement Advisor and Program Manager for project.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Liaise with Internal and External Customers/Stakeholders
    • Coordination and management of all QI Projects at supported facilities within a District
    • QI Site visit scheduling, coordination, and oversight
    • Generate innovative QI ideas for Mentors and Facilities
    • Collecting DHIS Data at a Sub-district level
    • QI record keeping
    • Ensure the management of TB patients efficiently according to DoH guidelines.
    • Improve quality standards for recording, reporting of TB data in the hospital.
    • Ensure patients who are diagnosed with TB in the hospital are registered.
    • Coordinate the down referral of patients diagnosed in the hospital and follow up to confirm that they reached the clinic and close contacts are traced.
    • Human capital management through supervision and monitor capturing of TB data in the information system by the data capturer.
    • Validate and strengthen collated TB data in the TB identification register for the hospital for reporting.
    • Coordinate TB activities in the hospital, in close collaboration with hospital management.
    • Support Quality Nurses to compile quarterly reports for SR program manager and district TB/HAST Manager
    • Work closely with information officers in CHC’s.

    Professional Nurse - Pretoria

    Work Description

    The Professional Nurses is responsible for capacitating DoH HCWs on LTBI, DS-TB, TB HIV, DR-TB and paediatric TB management, implementation of TB  Recovery Plan and providing on-site training as well as utilising QI methodology to improve TB performance in high impact facilities.

    They will coach and train on key gaps within the TB program and on occasion may have to provide direct service delivery when there are gaps in key strategic resources.  They will assess facilities patient flow and conduct quality assessments to address quality gaps in TB service delivery.

    Experience

    • At least three years’ experience working with TB/HIV program within public health care sector.

    Enrolled Nurse - Sarah Baartman

    Work Description

    The Enrolled/Staff Nurses is responsible for linkage between the community and the healthcare facilities.  They support the CHWs with increased case finding though house hold contact tracing and recall of patients who missed their appointments as well as TB screening and sputum collection in the communities.  They will oversight the work of CHWs in the community and ensure those patients identified within the community requiring care are linked to a HCF.
