    ICE Technician

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Work with multidisciplinary Instrumentation and Control and SCADA skills to ensure preventive and proactive maintenance and operation of the plant to achieve factory performance targets.

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • Preventive maintenance, Back up all software related equipment, Cyber security, Dfos and BuildApp.
    • Familiarize yourself with the Factory Cybersecurity standards and guidance available.
    • Support the central team if malicious threats are identified at site with regard to Cyber Security.
    • Manage the Cyber- Hygiene of the site. Good cyber hygiene can help keep the site safe and secure basic repairs and ensure efficient operation of equipment and production of a quality product.
    • Perform all work in compliance with established safety, GMP and UMS standards.
    • Respond to breakdowns and other issues brought to the attention of Maintenance (by supervision, operators or other personnel) as needed during operations, in a way that minimizes operational delays.
    • Troubleshoot, fine tune or adjust equipment to insure proper operation.
    • Routine visual inspection and/or testing of equipment and structures to identify and report any need for scheduled repairs.
    • Instrumentation, Electrical and Control work.
    • Interpret and work from schematics and electrical drawings.
    • Installation and alignment of machinery and equipment.
    • Participate in continuous improvement (UMS,R2S,WCM or similar activity).
    • Follow established department and plant procedures, including (but not limited to) those related to preventive maintenance systems, obtaining parts, and taking corrective action when hazardous or potential loss conditions are found.
    • Keeps tools, equipment and work area safe, clean and orderly. At all times work safely around equipment, tools and co-workers.
    • Other duties as requested by supervision work with and assist Artisans and operations personnel as needed.

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • ICE Scheduled maintenance e.g. calibrations, software backups
    • Supporting projects
    • Assist artisans on repairs
    • Skills transfer
    • Documentations

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • Minimum N4 qualification plus trade test OR National Diploma/BTech in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • Must have 5 years’ experience in manufacturing preferably with FMCG exposure in manufacturing process and packing. (Soap making experience will be advantageous)
    • Ability to perform all duties associated with position, with minimal supervision.

    Skills

    • Full understanding on Control systems.
    • Understanding of Networks protocols, PLC’s, Scada development, Batch, servo and AC drives, Allen Bradley will be advantageous

    Culinary/Cookery Internship (12 months)

    JOB PURPOSE

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • South African citizen, aged 18 – 34 years
    • Currently unemployed and not studying full-time
    • Completed Matric certificate (Grade 12)
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Culinary/Cookery (Higher Certificate/Diploma/Degree)
    • Should not have more than 2 years’ work experience
    • Commitment to the 12-month programme
    • Must not have completed a YES Programme previously
    • Willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment
    • A strong academic record
    • Strong computer literacy
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Good time management
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
    • A positive attitude
