    Data Architect & Team Lead Claremont - Cape Town

    Job Description    

    • We are looking for a data expert who is able to confidently move from architectural definition and technical guidance to hands-on implementation and troubleshooting.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Design, implement and future-proof data solutions to provide and guarantee accurate, consistent, timeous data to meet the business needs. 
    • Provide architecture artefacts in accordance with business and project requirements 
    • Conceptualize on-premise, cloud components, security, networking and monitoring solutions to meet the data needs.

    Coronation Catapult Programme: Trainee Settlement Officer & Operations Assistant

    Job Description    

    • This role is responsible for assisting the Operations team with the settlement of all Equity, Derivative and Bond Trades in terms of the JSE Rules, and to support the Operations Team with other duties.
    • This is your opportunity to join a leading and highly rated Stockbroking team in a critical role which offers excellent exposure and challenges in the Settlements and Operations Management Arena. This role will equip candidates with:
    • A solid understanding of financial instruments, including Fixed Income and Derivative Instruments.
    • The knowledge and experience on local and international settlements.
    • The ability to work on various IT systems (advanced Excel, Accounting & Exchange Systems, including Nutron, MecrasBDA and Swordfish).

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Settlements

    • Assist with the settlement obligations of all Equity, Derivative and Bond Trades in terms of the relevant exchange Rules.
    • Assist with the constant monitoring and communication of trade statuses to clients, banks and the relevant exchanges where required.
    • Assist with the reconciliation of Net Settlements schedules to Bank Statements, BDA and the Accounting system.
    • Assist with the processing and settlement of local and international trades for the Equity and Equity Derivatives Market when required.
    • Assist the Trade Support Function with allocation of Equity Trades.
    • Assist with the monitoring of trade exclusions as required to ensure they are correctly dealt with.

    Operations

    • Assist with the reconciliation and consolidation of Client Brokerage Figures.

    • Taking note of relevant Exchange Communications and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Testing as required.
