    Assistant Supervisor Occupational Therapy

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • RFA Certificate - Essential
    • NQF 5 (Diploma in Occupational Therapy) or NQF 7 (BSc or BA) in Occupational Therapy
    • The Appointee should:
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
    • Clear security screening record
    • At least 2 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist of which 1 year should have been in Vocational Rehabilitation
    • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Ability to produce deadline-driven results

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • NQF 8 (Post graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree / Professional Qualification Degree) in Vocational Rehabilitation would be advantageous

    Additional Requirements:

    • Computer skills (MS Office and Symplexity)
    • Ability to work with limited supervision to ensure expedited completion of processes
    • Ability to understand the Health and Wellness value chain

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promotion of health and wellbeing by strengthening physical, cognitive, and perceptual abilities
    • Provide a client cantered holistic approach using therapeutic interventions aimed at the individual, occupation, and environment
    • Administration of PWC (Physical Work Capacity) and FWC (Functional Work Capacity) test battery
    • Manage employees to return to work and conduct assessments of new recruits
    • Assessment and Observation of medical, Orthopaedic and Neuro clients
    • Conduct alternative placement assessments and writing of placement guidelines reports
    • Conduct work site visit assessments
    • Conduct cognitive assessments/screening
    • Conduct and revise job risk assessments of all occupations within the organisation
    • Report writing
    • Conduct and oversee vocational rehabilitation
    • Advising on medical exercise prescription
    • Develop and maintain policies and guidelines for the department in line with evidence-based practice
    • Attend regular operational meetings to give update on monthly rehabilitation processes and the output and outcome of the RFA Programmes
    • Oversee the rehabilitation and functional capacity assessment processes
    • Ensure compliance with the RFA and company specific procedures
    • Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly record keeping
    • Conduct daily administrative activities
    • Ensure continuous professional development
    • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team members
    • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks
    • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment
    • Monitor compliance regarding documentation and systems within the Quality Management System (QMS) to improve effectiveness and efficiency
    • Ensuring Occupational/Health Centre expenditure is within budget
    • Develop and maintain policies and guidelines for the department in line with evidence-based practice

    Learnership 18.1 Rigger/Ropsman Miner Artisan

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Rigger / Ropesman– required qualification subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawings,
    • N2 with four relevant subjects

    The Appointee should:

    • Have at least 6 months service with the company
    • Be recommended based on interview outcomes
    • Obtain a Protection Services clearance certificate
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre

    Additional Requirements:

    • Applicants will need to undergo an interview process and psychometric assessment, which will be considered during allocation of learnerships.
    • The selection process will not be delayed to accommodate applicants whose screening process is delayed for whatsoever reason.
    • All entry level requirements outcomes will be considered before applicant be recommended
    • Applicants must submit a fully completed Application Form, Record of Service, CV and certified copies of ID and Qualifications, to the Sibanye-Stillwater Academy. (N2 must have the relevant subjects for the discipline applied for)
    • Applicants in possession of a Section 28 or 26D Trade Certificates will not be considered including another Learnership

    Practitioner Ore Transport

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (Grade 12
    • National N2 Certificate
    • A valid recognised Trade Certificate(Millwright)

    The Appointee should:

    • Minimum of 4 years appropriate experience related to logistics/transport management.
    • Experience in processing/metallurgy
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
    • Clear security screening record.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Training in Logistics / Transportation Management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with Ore Transport Superintendent on concentrate and ore requirements.
    • Ensure Contractors fleet are available according to contractional requirements
    • Ensure that ore levels are reported daily
    • Ensure that contractors/Fleet/trucks are directed on where to load and where to transport ores as per the plan and prevent route deviation.
    • Provide daily report of ore transported from shafts and stockpiles to the various concentrators.
    • Manage and report Shaft silo levels.
    • Supervision of Ore Transport shift controllers
    • Administration of the MES weighbridge application
    • Rotational Standby duties
    • Reliving Ore Transport Superintendent when needed
    • Assist Protection Services with closing illegal underground entrances where needed.
    • Safe co-ordination of contractor’s fleets during unrest situations
    • Continues communication with Protection Services during unrest situations on Ore Transport routes.
    • Co-ordinate maintenance needs on buildings, areas and equipment dedicated to Ore Transport
    • Ensure tankers are available according to contract requirements. • Provide daily feedback on batches dispatched to the smelter.
    • Identify defects or delays. • Recommend and participate in business improvement projects. • Provide bi-weekly and quarterly reports and feedback on project progress. • Assist in the implementation of breakthrough technologies. • Understand the risks involved in community protest.
