    Millwright

    Position Summary

    With a history spanning over 150 years, Nestlé didn’t become the world’s leading food and beverages brand by chance. Perfection is at the heart of what we do and our people are always looking for the next big idea to cement our status. We’re now looking for a Miilwright in East London.
    Working in East London, your responsibility will be to ensure efficient safe operation of machinery, maintenance and improvement of all equipment, fault finding and attending to mechanical and electrical breakdowns.

    A day in the life of
    A Millwright at Nestle

    • Carry out the planned maintenance required on the plant.
    • Install, service, repair and maintain existing and new equipment.
    • Perform workshop functions- welding, turning, milling, grinding, etc
    • Actively participate in change -overs and ensure that settings are correct.
    • Ensure any dangerous conditions be made safe immediately.
    • Break down fault finding and Repair
    • Assist with the execution and commissioning of Project Plans

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Millwright Trade Test qualification
    • Minimum of 3-5 years' work experience post apprenticeship in an FMCG fast paced manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs

    Process Controller - East London

    Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible operating the Plant to achieve the output and quality objectives and actively contribute to the success of the business.

    A day in the life of
    A Process Controller at Nestle

    • Set up and run the Plant so as to produce acceptable quality product, according to the production schedule, at the prescribed efficiency for labour, ingredients and time and control documents.
    • Follow the weekly production schedule and report any deviations, changes, under or over production to Team Leader.
    • Monitor all aspects of the process
    • Ensure that the plant is cleaned as per the prescribed schedules and that the plant and all the areas around the plant are kept clean, neat and tidy.
    • Continually monitor the mechanical, electrical state and safety state of the plant and liaise with the relevant maintenance personnel.
    • The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the operation of the plant so that he can relieve or fill in for other functions.
    • Comply with the relevant NQMS/QMS/SPI/ OPRPs & CCPs procedures and ensure that these are fully documented and kept up to date.
    • Monitor quality controls i.e. Sensory, Nett mass & Date coding
    • Check and maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in the area of responsibility

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with Mathematics
    • 3 Years post apprenticeship experience
    • SAP (Advantageous)

    Artisan (Electrician).

    • Installing and maintaining electrical equipment in first class working condition
    • Ensuring all work carried out on premises conform to SANS code 10142-1:2003 (wiring of premises) and internal standards if more stringent in all areas of engineering, quality and safety health & environment
    • Ensuring efficient safe operation of machinery by setting and adjusting devices to within allowed tolerances

    • Completing the necessary administrative tasks for AMM, SHE, CDM
    • To be actively involved with new project installations, CDM and MDWTe necessary administrative tasks for AMM, SHE, CDM

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Served Apprenticeship and qualified with a Trade Test Certificate
    • A minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience in the electrical field.

    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.

    • Process and manage all Purchase Order creation in the system.
    • Coordinates with Media Agency for all PO modifications and process cancel & replace POs which leads to quick invoicing.
    • Responsible for all Good Receipts confirmation of Media Purchase Orders.
    • Act as primary problem solver concerning PO discrepancies and is charged with following up for missing paperwork and authorizations
    • Track, check and ensure that all Media invoices received corresponds to purchase orders sent to the agency
    • Reconciling and reporting on the status of Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.

    What Will Make You Successful

    • 5+ years in Media Strategy(Buying/Planning)Operations,
    • Billings experience in a media agency

    Fitter - Can Making Technician

    Position Snapshot

    Your main responsibilities are:

    • Ensure efficient operation of the section in terms of running maitenance, quality product output
    • Ensure that production requirement are met and that machinery under is kept in good running order
    • Maintain machine asset Intensity on all the machinery
    • Carry out goods receipt, declare pallets produced, print and fix label on pallet, print manual stickers when necessary
    • Ensure required packing materials and raw materials are available for usage
    • Involved in Daily Operational Reviews and Shift Handovers
    • Ensure Quality, Safety and Hygiene within the workplace

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Matric with Maths
    • Minimum N3 with Trade Test as a Fitter or Fitter & Turner

    Can Making - Artisan Fitter
    Safety and Hygiene

    • Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices are maintained at all times.
    • Ensure that there is no contamination of product i.e.foreign bodies.
    • Keep working area clean and tidy at all times.

    • Maintain machine efficiencies on all the machinery(As per dept matrix).
    • Ensure proper shutdown procedures followed.
    • Ensure required packing materials and raw materials are available for usage (ends and tinplate).
    • Ensure equipment is operating within process specification and is in sound working order.
    • Ensure required raw materials are available for processing.
    • Ensure equipment is maintained within process specification and is in sound working.

    Quality Control

    • Ensure all products meet the required specification.(finished open top cans)
    • Report all defects that are detected and to team leader.
    • Do all visual quality checks at work station (damaged cans ,coding, plate squareness etc.)
    • Reduce spoilage to a minimum level.

    Innovation and Improvement

    • Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives and seek new and improved methods of working in order to increase efficiency in the overall production process
    • Practice teamwork to ensure continuous improvement of all activities and resources within the organization.
    • Actively participate in NCE daily meetings.
    • Participate in “shop floor ownership”
