    Linux & System Administration Specialist

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The server & network infrastructure team is seeking a strong Linux & Systems Administration Specialist to join its team. You will require a proven track record with at least 5+ years’ experience in a similar role having supported Linux Systems in an enterprise environment. You will also preferably be certified on CentOS, RedHat or Oracle Linux. Network and Firewall related knowledge and skill is an advantage.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    In this position you will be required to:

    •  Install, configure, support and maintain Linux servers in development, test and production environments
    •  Investigate and troubleshoot performance and other issues
    •  Maintain design and support documentation
    •  Possess strong general knowledge of Infrastructure services relevant to Linux like DNS, NTP, network, security hardening and other common Linux services
    •  Administer Enterprise storage systems like NetApp, EMC etc.
    •  Create and maintain Bash scripts for automation and other tasks
    •  Install, configure and maintain a wide variety of open source and enterprise applications on Linux.
    •  Ensure systems are backed up and can be restored in the event of a disaster
    •  Maintain a disaster recovery site

    Solutions Architect

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    As a Solutions Architect you will play a key role in the strategic business enablement team (SBE). You will have both a strategic and operational view of the architecture, defining and maintaining the strategic architecture blueprint and roadmap, as well as designing architecture for projects on an ongoing basis, always working towards the strategic view. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to clearly articulate the architecture to a number of stakeholders, including board members, business partners, system administrators and software developers. You will be working on multiple projects and initiatives at the same time. You will assist with project scoping and sizing, and help to define solutions using repeatable and reusable patterns.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • You will be knowledgeable about current IT trends, and assist the organization to make the best technical choice, taking into account current reality and future goals. 
    • You will work in our Agile methodology, and assist the BA's, project managers and developers with Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming etc). 
    • You will consider the trade-off between scope, time, benefit and cost, and be willing to push back on requirements where appropriate. You will work closely with the software developers to ensure they understand the architecture, that code complies to the architecture, and for technical mentorship

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •   DevOps, DevSecOps, GitOps and related patterns and principles
    •   API gateways, including security features and patterns associated with gateways
    •   Oracle/MySQL databases
    •   IAM patterns, including OAUTH2 and OIDC
    •   Cloud Native and 12 Factor Application Principles

    DESIRABLE:

    •   UML or C4 modelling

    Buyers Trust Investment Administrator

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The purpose of this job is to facilitate the deposit investment process with the homebuyer in accordance with the deed of sale.  In addition to working in partnership with the Buyers Trust relationship consultant and Investment Facilitator, the Investment Administrator has to assist the homebuyer with the opening of account, FICA, issuing of investment mandates and bank guarantees and facilitate the disbursement of investments.

    Required Competencies:

    • Customer Focus: This aligns with the role’s core function of facilitating the deposit investment process with investors. Maintaining a strong customer focus ensures that the investor’s experience is positive, their needs are met, and their expectations are managed effectively throughout the investment process.
    •  Accuracy: Given the role's involvement with financial transactions, FICA compliance, and the management of investment accounts, accuracy is crucial. This competency ensures that all processes are handled meticulously, reducing the risk of errors in documentation and financial handling.
    •  Analyzing and Forming Opinions: This competency is essential for understanding and interpreting the requirements of the deed of sale, FICA regulations, and investment mandates. It allows for sound decision-making and problem-solving throughout the investment process.
    •  Adaptability: The role requires flexibility to adapt to changes in real estate processes, financial regulations, and customer needs. Adaptability is key to navigating these changes effectively and ensuring compliance and efficiency in a dynamic financial environment.
    •  Listening Skills: Effective listening is vital for accurately understanding the needs and concerns of investors, as well as for effective collaboration with conveyancers and internal teams. This competency ensures clear and effective communication throughout the investment process.
    •   Integrity: Handling sensitive financial information and managing investment accounts demand a high level of integrity. This competency aligns with the need for trustworthiness and ethical conduct, essential in maintaining the reputation of Buyers Trust.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receive and capture deposit instruction
    • Ensure all relevant documentation is received and compliant
    • FICA homebuyer (where required)
    • Facilitate the signing of investment mandates
    • Opening and closing of investment accounts (includes conveyancers and homebuyers)
    • Meeting the conditions outlined in the deed of sale in relation to deposits and/or purchase prices
    • Liaise with appointed conveyancers to issue relevant guarantees
    • Issuing of monthly investment account statements to homebuyers
    • Produce and distribute daily/weekly/monthly activity reports  
    • Manage queries throughout the investment process
    • Effective partnership with relationship consultant, Investment Facilitator and other internal stakeholder within ooba Group

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Matric
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an administrative role within the financial services or conveyancing industry would be advantageous
    • A minimum of 5 years’ customer engagement experience would be advantageous
    • Qualification recognised by the Financial Services Conduct Authority (FSCA), working towards one or be willing to work towards one.
    • Knowledge of real estate process advantageous
    • Clear criminal and credit record
    • Highly numerate
    • Sound financial acumen
    • Excellent administrative skills
    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Word)
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Effective time management skills
    • Expert client service skills
