    Account Manager - Rustenburg

    Main Purpose of the Job

    To manage the customer relationship by delivering high quality customer service, installation and repair of safety equipment. To manage a team of technicians to achieve this. To grow the business by cross selling to existing customers and generating new business.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Grade 12; Qualification/trade in Electronics/Electrical engineering
    • 3 years technical experience
    • 2 years Account Management experience from mining or processing plant (Advantage)
    • Sales and operations experience

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure efficient installation and repair of safety equipment so that products are functioning according to required standards
    • Respond promptly to customer call-out requests in the event of breakdowns
    • Effectively resolve breakdowns within required timelines (identify, analyze and find solutions to problems)
    • Project manage large and small projects according to company project management schedules and templates
    • Feed new product design ideas or upgrades from customer to R&D team and provide feedback to customer wrt R&D team's recommendations
    • Complete reporting requirements and administration timeously and accurately (COCs, invoices, PODs, procurement card slips, SLAs, SRs, time sheets etc.)
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by professional conduct, regular follow ups/customer visits, knowledge of the customer's business and meeting deadlines
    • Proactively deal with customers telephonically or face-to-face to ensure that issues are resolved, and relationships strengthened
    • Effectively cross sell products to existing customers
    • Generate new business and attend sales meetings with/without Sales Consultants

    Field Service Technician - Rustenburg

    Main Purpose of the Job

    To deliver high quality customer service by installing and maintaining systems and ensuring these operate correctly

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Grade 12, National Diploma in Electronics; Qualified Artisan
    • 3-5 years' experience in electronic installations, CWS-900 equipment
    • Strong technical background.
    • Willing to travel as required.
    • Own transport and valid driver's license 

    Responsibilities

    • Install systems correctly so that standards and timelines are met
    • Conduct site and system surveys before installation and quoting
    • Repair and upgrade current systems effectively on site
    • Ensure that wiring and installation complies electrically and mechanically with requirements of mine procedures
    • Commission and test products and educate customers
    • Ensure that Mining Engineer (customer) is satisfied that the system is functioning correctly
    • Conduct site visits to assess and fix problems promptly
    • Respond promptly when failures are reported and ensure that repairs are carried out timeously
    • Thoroughly test equipment to analyse faults and ensure that equipment conforms to specifications as per installation manual
    • Ensure that repairs and parts are ordered as soon as possible to fix faults
    • Compile reports for audits on request by mines
    • Complete administration as required (service reports, timesheets and COC's)
