    Calibration Technician

    The Role

    As a Calibration technician, you will be part of a global calibration team providing calibration services to Atlas Copco, Industrial Technique customers within the Sub Saharan Africa. You will be part of the Service Business Line and will report directly to the Calibration Laboratory Manager.

    We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated calibration technician whose duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Performing equipment calibrations according to approved norms & standards, nationally and internationally
    • Handling regular audits and certifications
    • Safeguarding traceability of measuring equipment and results
    • Contribution to problem solving of quality assurance issues
    • Manage customer equipment for calibrations within the TAT KPI’s
    • Supply calibration quotes & tenders as per customer calibration requirements
    • Improve existing calibration procedures, create and validate new procedures
    • Assist in the upkeep and improvement of the laboratory management system and day to day tasks
    • Support calibration team members with daily scheduled tasks (laboratory & on-site)
    • Cooperation and communication with product specialists and production companies
    • Fulfilling full compliance with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements
    • Supporting of sales and project teams in all relevant quality assurance issues
    • Promoting professional calibration services of Atlas Copco Tools

    What we Expect of you?

    • Firsthand experience in the quality assurance area
    • Preferable knowledge of torque calibrations and/or metrology
    • Good English skills both oral and written
    • Solid computer and MS-Office skills
    • Knowledge of relevant norms and standards
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Valid MetCert in the torque metrology field as an advantage
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data and results
    • High attention to detail
    • High degree of reliability
    • Self-motivated, good team player, resilient and goal oriented
    • Willing to travel (also internationally from time to time)

    Educational Qualification:  

    • A Grade 12 educational qualification is a minimum requirement and a relevant higher qualification would be an advantage
    • Preference will be givn to suitably qualified EE candidates.

    IT Operations Support Team Lead

    The Role

    • Lead the IT Operations Support team in South Africa, Johannesburg
    • Support the people in the team to ensure they can be successful in their mission
    • Ensure incidents & standard service requests are handled and resolved according to the agreed SLA’s
    • Guarantee the stability of the service by implementing and maintaining pro-active monitoring on the different infrastructure components and perform regular health checks
    • Document the different services and ensure CI’s are registered in the CMDB
    • Take ownership of asset management and the lifecycle of hardware
    • Put focus on knowledge management and the development of the skills in the team.
    • Document and follow up on known issues together with our specialist team
    • Follow up on change management
    • Work closely together with our partners and the demand & delivery leads to ensure the services are delivered in line with the contract and agreed SLA’s
    • Delivery of KPIs and SLA reporting towards management & stakeholders
    • Manage support to the Service Desk, Application Managers, IT Managers and other stakeholders using the ITIL methodology for IT Service Management.
    • Develop a “follow the sun” support model with your peers in the other regions
    • Report quality issues on the solutions you need to support to the solution owners and specialist in the region.

    • Working knowledge of value and use of Standard IT processes and methodologies (i.e. ITIL, PMI and SDLC)
    • Technical background in one or more of the following areas :
    • Network : SDWAN, LAN, WLAN, Firewall, ZScaler
    • Server Hosting : VMware, Storage
    • Cloud : Azure Cloud
    • End User Computing : SCCM, Intune
    • Active Directory
    • Experience with organizational development, leadership development and performance management
    • Comfortable with working in a highly matrix global environment
    • Ability to implement standards and operating metrics.

    Experience

    • + 5 years of experience working for a large multinational company in a similar position

    Education

    • Higher education or equivalent experience.
    • You are passionate about technology
    • Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must
    • ITIL Certification
    • Technology certifications are a plus
