    Financial Manager - Control

    Role Purpose

    This role is the key role for delivering high quality timely and insightful reporting to meet both the monthly reporting requirements and full/half year audits. The role will also be the key role for statutory, technical, tax and cash management on a local level. The role is also responsible for delivering a robust, dynamic cash flow forecast for South Africa.

    Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...

    • Full end to end month end responsibility, including delivery of quality commentary to FPA and Head of Finance.
    • Reviewing/preparing weekly cashflow forecasting/requirements and ensure maximum return on cash.
    • Processing of payroll journal and advanced inter-company journals.
    • Actively managing reduction of journals and journal lines.
    • Statutory filing for AFS, Income Tax, Other tax returns, levy refunds etc.
    • Inspiring leadership of direct and indirect reports and driving staff development.
    • Maintain process efficiency, continuous improvement.
    • Monitor and maintain strong internal control environment.
    • Own the SA organisations compliance with the local tax legislation.
    • Balance sheet accounts - Maintain the integrity of the general ledger (and subsidiary ledgers), including ensuring all accounts are reconciled monthly.
    • P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Paper completion, submissions to Aus and flow of info and assistance to FPA team.
    • Implementation of the new accounting standards including training broader team on changes to accounting standards.
    • Drafting technical accounting position papers for any accounting issues.
    • Preparing Annual Financial Statement in accordance with the latest accounting standards.
    • Undertake transfer pricing planning and implementation.
    • Maintaining key hand offs to FC & FP&A teams, as well as dotted line in to Group Finance Operations and to the Business key role players.

    To be successful in this role you will…

    • We are looking for a qualified chartered accountant who is self-managed with at least 7+ years post qualification experience including strong technical knowledge in IFRS , TAX and SARB .
    • You will be able to demonstrate a track record of working for a global organisation and with Good understanding of local statutory and tax compliance and reporting obligations.
    • Be able to demonstrate highest levels of ownership on accountabilities, with uncompromising standards, adhering to tight deadlines, working under pressure with strong organisation skills and the ability to manage own time and work independently.​
    • Have attention to detail and capable of combining different items of information to identify problem/solution with willingness to challenge and question existing practices and processes to confirm ongoing relevance or suitable weighting of time and effort.
    • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft products, particularly Excel as well as established accounting packages.

    Revenue Business Partner

    Role Purpose

    Partner with the Business Heads and Managers to add value by providing insightful financial analysis and influencing positive commercial outcomes through the provision of advice. You will provide information and analysis to help guide and influence decision making in relation to managing revenue. Becoming the trusted advisor for all matters relating to revenue.

    Accountabilities & Deliverables

    • To provide high quality business performance insight and analysis to the MD, Head of Finance, Business Heads and other cost centre managers.
    • Maintain a detailed understanding of revenue, forecasts, providing customer and product analysis , as well as ad hoc qualitative analysis on projects and other initiatives as required.
    • Have responsibility to formulate and deliver the annual budget, and quarterly forecasts which align with IRESS strategic objectives.
    • Prepare monthly executive reporting submissions which include monthly variance commentary and importantly, provide insight into key drivers, provide forecasts risks and opportunities to influence both short and long term, operational and strategic goals.
    • Draw on the technical accounting skills from Financial Control to advise on accounting for transactions in accordance with IFRS.
    • Participate in the month-end close process to ensure quality of reporting is maintained through deep analysis.
    • Trigger the actions required to facilitate enhancement of reporting.
    • Continue to develop the monthly reporting suite by responding to business requirements and incorporating relevant analysis into the existing framework, requiring the synthesis of data across a wide range of sources and systems
    • Identify revenue leakage and facilitate and support Business in driving the identified leakages
    • Develop a revenue assurance framework with operational implementation and management
    • Monitor and assist with controls to help manage and govern the integrity of financial information.

    To be successful in this role you will…

    • You will be Bcom or Cima qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience.
    • You will have experience in planning & reporting tools and ERP systems are advantageous, experience in complex Billing systems and related operational systems. Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft products, particularly Excel as well as established accounting packages is essential.
    • You will demonstrate a track record of working for a global organisation communicating in a professional manner with all levels of customers and stakeholders, both internal and external.
    • Adhering to tight deadlines and working under pressure and ability to manage own time, with the ability to demonstrate highest levels attention to detail and ownership on accountabilities, with uncompromising standards.
    • You will be willing to challenge and question existing practices and processes to identify problem/solutions and drive a culture of continuous improvement of processes and deliverables.
