Qualifications:

Experience:

• Relevant 6-8 years’ experience in an actuarial data science related environment of which 2 years must have been in management/supervisory level/area of expertise.
• Experience in SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, and Enterprise Miner), Python or R
• Experience in building and implementation of supervised and unsupervised Machine
• Learning Algorithms to solve meaningful business problems.
• Some experience with Python/Microsoft Machine Learning and tools available within the machine learning ecosystem (i.e. NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, SciPy stack) and working in Jupyter notebooks.
• Knowledge and practical experience applying machine learning techniques and working in agile development teams.
• Some experience in operationalizing data science solutions or similar product development.

Qualification:

• B.Eng. / B.Sc. in computer science or electrical engineering or related field

Experience:

• 5 years practical experience in the full software development life cycle in a scientific, engineering, instrumentation, or industrial environment and have successfully lead software projects for at least 2 years.

Qualification:

• BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 Years of experience in a technically complex environment
• Extensive exposure to practical aspects of electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems
• Create CAD models and drawings of physical plant and equipment where they do not exist

Experience:

Experience:

• 5 years experience in fault finding and maintenance in high technology product environment
• 5 years experience in assembly and test of precision mechanical, electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems
• 2 years experience draughting and designing CAD 3D models and producing production drawings experience in operating workshop machinery and fabrication and inspection/quality control of mechanical parts
• Seeking a well experienced Senior Mechanical Technician to support the SALT technical operations team with mechanical and opto-mechanical repairs and maintenance, as well as support projects by way of analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing.
• The position is within a dynamic team, comprised of approximately three dozen staff, including astronomers, electronics, optical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers.

Knowledge:

• Solid MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Sound knowledge in CAD (Computer Aided Design) related modelling/draughting and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
