    Locum - Registered Nurse

    • The services of an experienced, compassionate Locum Registered Nurse (Day and Night) are required to work between three of our facilities within the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (Tokai Estate, Cle Du Cap, and Noordhoek Manor).

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Tasks

    • Develop and implement individualised care plans for each resident.
    • Conduct regular reviews and updates of care plans to reflect residents' evolving health conditions.
    • Ensure care plans align with both the medical and personal needs of residents.
    • Monitor staff compliance with care plans and established protocols.
    • Conduct high-risk assessments and accurately document essential information.
    • Uphold best-practice methods and principles in all clinical tasks performed within the facility.
    • Ensure the safe and proper administration of medication by yourself and nursing staff, adhering to established medication management procedures.
    • Ensure medication is appropriately stored and blister packs are managed according to procedures.
    • When required, implement and maintain infection control protocols.
    • Manage stock, including adjusting par levels and restocking items in the supply cupboard when required.

    Emergency and Incident Management

    • Follow established policies in the event of emergencies, including contacting Emergency Services where required for the healthcare facility or village.
    • Act according to patients’ living wills or advance directives during emergencies or resuscitation efforts.
    • Ensure the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and families are promptly informed of any incidents or resident deaths.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • SANC registered as a Registered Nurse.
    • Up-to-date Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.

    Experience and Knowledge

    • Proven experience as a Shift Leader / Duty Sister.
    • Experience in a similar position.
    • Knowledge of dementia care, frail care, and palliative care is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in organising and delivering training sessions for staff development.
    • Experience in scheduling and managing staff shifts.

    Site Foreman

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily construction, refurbishment, maintenance, and repair activities across multiple sites.
    • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to programme.
    • Allocate daily tasks to labour teams and monitor productivity and workmanship.
    • Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects, risks, or delays requiring corrective action.
    • Assist with site establishment, setting out, and interpretation of construction drawings.
    • Monitor material usage and notify management of procurement requirements to avoid delays.
    • Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and plant are correctly utilised, maintained, and secured.
    • Maintain accurate site records, including labour attendance, daily diaries, deliveries, and progress reports.

    Requirements

    Qualification

    • National Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Qualification in Building, Construction, Carpentry, Civil Works, or a related field.
    • Trade Test qualification will be advantageous.
    • OHS Representative or Supervisor training will be advantageous.
    • Relevant construction industry certifications will be advantageous.

    Experience and Knowledge

    • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site / Construction Foreman, General Foreman, or similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
    • Proven experience supervising residential, commercial, healthcare, or refurbishment projects.
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, quality control, and site coordination.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and site compliance requirements.

    Barman/Waiter - Part Time

    Job Description

    • Faircape Restaurant and Catering, part of Faircape Life Retirement Villages, operates across six premier retirement villages in the Western Cape, providing exceptional dining experiences to village residents and patients in our onsite healthcare centres.
    • We are looking for a friendly, professional and service-driven Part-Time Bartender / Waiter to join our team at Onrus Manor in Hermanus.
    • This is a permanent part-time position offering approximately 12 rostered shifts per month, making it ideal for someone looking for flexible working hours while delivering exceptional customer service in a high-quality hospitality environment.

    Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Hermanus area.

    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Change table linen as required and ensure dirty or damaged linen is exchanged for clean, usable items.
