    Manager - Channel Innovation Group Digital

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Manager: Channel Innovation will be accountable to achieve the following objectives

     

    • Lead innovative strategies for the distribution of Digital Services (entertainment services such video and music streaming services, gaming, etc) services through physical and other channels
    • Support the OpCos teams to identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with physical retailers, ensuring effective placement and promotion of digital services.
    • Support cross-functional collaboration to integrate digital services seamlessly into physical retail environments
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously evolve and enhance physical channel strategies
    • Analyze market data and consumer behaviour to inform decision-making and optimize the performance of digital services in physical channels
    • Implement creative marketing campaigns and promotions to drive awareness and sales / acquisitions through physical distribution channels
    • Collaborate with OpCo Digital Services teams to align strategies with revenue targets and enhance overall market presence
    • Support the evaluation and negotiation of agreements with physical channel partners to ensure mutually beneficial relationships
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of physical channel strategies
    • Develop and provide training and support to channel partners to ensure their success
    • Key deliverable:

    • Efficient Customer Acquisition Cost
    • Sales agents trainings
    • Campaign management and incentivisation strategy

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

     

    • Minimum 4-year Academic Degree or any Commercial or Technical Degree
    • Post Graduate qualification (MBA / Masters) advantageous
    • Fluent in English, French and Arabic (advantageous)

    Experience:

    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in channel strategy management, with a focus on selling digital services through physical channels
    • In-depth understanding of digital services and the digital entertainment and eService verticals industry
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners

    Senior Manager - Finance Bayobab FibreCo SA

    Key Deliverables

    The Senior Manager - Finance will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Cascade the Group strategy to create functional strategy aligned with the overarching business goals, under oversight of the MD.
    • Ensure effective implementation of the functional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps.
    • Oversee regular review of the functional strategy and roadmap, under oversight of the MD, to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem.
    • Staff Leadership and Management (where applicable)
    • Source, induct and manage talent in accordance with legislative guidelines.
    • Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working.
    • Ensure open communication channels with staff and implement change management interventions where necessary.
    • Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives for the team.
    • Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program.
    • Develop and implement a training plan in order to build and develop skills within the team
    • Performance manages resources in accordance with HR policy and legislation where necessary.
    • Actively participate in leadership team and develop skills of own team.

    Governance

    Strategic Meetings

    • Participate and provide input in strategic meetings.
    • Provide inputs & drive OpCo wide transformation initiatives, elicit inputs from relevant parties.
    • Provide inputs to and ensure adequate risk mitigation and controls in the function.
    • Perform evaluation baseline of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
    • Drive approval process from MD/Group on new initiatives.
    • Dedicate relevant budget for internal projects, post sign-off from MD/Group.
    • Drive preparation of proposal on change initiatives SLA, policies and procedures.

    Escalations

    • Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impact to MD / Group team.
    • Manage and provide solutions to escalations that have multiple processes / functions impact on critical path of service delivery.

    Function Tactical

    • Closely monitor all projects initiated in the function.
    • Review and finalise objectives, targets and budgets for the function, under oversight of CEO.
    • Review key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions, seeking guidance from the CEO as and when required.
    • Develop and manage budgets, where required.
    • Sign-off / make decisions regarding tactical changes and where required seek sign-off from Management.

    Performance

    • Monitor performance and alignment with overall OpCo strategy.
    • SLA approval and exception performance review.

    Reporting

    • Report monthly to the MD relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation.
    • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required.

    Budgets

    • Manage function’s budgets in line with business objectives, under oversight of MD.
    • Manage project initiative budgets in line with business objectives, under oversight of the MD.
    • Ensure that the cost of operations are managed, in line with a least cost operating strategy stemming from the business drivers, under oversight of the MD.

    Operational Delivery

    Functional Leadership:

    • As the functional leader of the Finance vertical, the role is accountable to:
    • Monitor and align the direction, strategy and results of the Finance vertical, collectively and as individual work areas in the OpCo, ensuring that the Group guidelines are duly complied with.

    Delivery Leadership:

    • As the delivery leader of the Finance vertical, the role is accountable for the following work area outcomes:
    • Oversee implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by Group Finance team and ensure compliance with the same.

    Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable)

    • Accountable for the morale, performance, and development of the function’s human capital.
    • Cascade and socialize work structure processes to enable adoption by the team.

    Job Requirements

    Education:

    • Minimum of 4 years tertiary degree (B.Sc. Accounting / BCom Accounting, or a related discipline)
    • Professional qualification – CA (required)
    • MBA or Masters (advantageous)

    Experience:

    • Minimum 7 to 12 years relevant experience in a similar position with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in wholesale/infrastructure/B2B Telecommunications sector/ industry will be advantageous.
    • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets.
    • Successful track record as a senior management professional in delivering exceptional business growth & financial results.

    Manager - Core Architecture - Roodepoort

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Performance Areas

    The Manager Core Architecture will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Remain abreast of the latest technology innovations and trends and translate this into technical deliverables of MTN’s Core strategy and roadmap key drivers.
    • Provide input and support on the development of Group Core planning, optimisation standards and strategies, with a key focus on Architecture Development across the MTN Group.
    • Evaluate and conduct deep network analyses to detect inefficiencies in the Core domain and provide guidance utilizing optimization techniques and network features to continuously improve customer experience and introduce revenue generating opportunities.
    • Ensure blueprint standardisation of Core cloud INFRA, Abstraction layer, application software and features across all OPCOs.
    • Dimensioning of all OpCo core network elements to secure appropriate capacity for future growth, including network resilience, security and E2E redundancy
    • Provide input and support for Core Network products on selecting suitable vendors through Group tenders(RFx) and collaborate with all internal/external stakeholders.
    • Actively manage performance of Core through dashboard KPI targets development and monitoring.
    • Provide cross domain technical support to other teams like Access, TX/IP Transport, VAS. IT on all Core related interworking touchpoints, protocols and any arising issues.
    • OPCO stakeholder management , regular engagement with OPCOs
    • Participate in the  Best Customer experience program to ensure that OPCOs achieve number 1 status in NPS

    Key Deliverables

    • Core technology roadmap that governs HW and SW standardisation across MTN Group.
    • Core KPI target development including Dashboard and Performance Monitoring.
    • Develop and maintain the Planning and Design principles and standards across the Core Network domains.
    • Global trend analysis in Core technologies and alignment to business roadmap strategies.
    • Drafting and evaluation of RFx for equipment and services sourcing.
    • External/Internal stakeholder collaboration and support.
    • Core Network Optimisation and Performance improvements with focus on NPS.

    Job Requirements

    Education:

    • Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree (B-Tech/B.Sc. Computer Science / Network Engineering)
    • MBA or Masters advantageous
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years or more as manager or team leader.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in relevant sector / industry/ area of specialisation.
    • Relevant experience in Network design and planning 
    • Drafting and evaluation of RFI/RFQ/RFP for equipment and service sourcing.
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
    • Experience working in a medium to large organisation
