    PLC Specialist

    Key Performance Areas

    • Ensuring robots and PLC driven machinery are correctly programmed to deliver optimally.
    • Maintain all PLC Devices to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.
    • Ensure that all PLC backups are done according to the company procedures.

     Knowledge and Skills Required

    • Advanced programming
    • Advanced PLC Control Systems
    • Advanced manufacturing concepts
    • Advanced IT as it relates to manufacturing and PLC control.
    • Health, Safety and Environmental
    • Read electronic drawings.
    • Problem solving abilities.
    • Communication
    • Technical ability
    • Fault-finding ability

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 and Qualified Electrician/Millwright or Technical Diploma/Degree
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a PLC Technician within an automotive environment
    • Extensive working knowledge of PLC programming, Siemens TIA V3-V15, S7 300.Siemens Safety PLC programming

    Metrology and Laboratory Manager

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Manage the Budget of the Laboratory and measurement areas of responsibility
    • Responsible for the Disciplinary and Technical leadership of the team
    • Ensuring the required resources and competencies are in place
    • Responsible for the review and communication of Measurement and Test results
    • Manage engineering change and product evolution
    • Manage and maintain critical equipment in the CMM room.

     Knowledge and Skills required:

    • Fully trained experienced CMM Programmer
    • Fully trained and experienced in Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements
    • Fully understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
    • Piweb, GOM and Zeiss experience
    • High Standard of computer literacy, Excellent verbal and written communicator
    • Attention to detail
    • Methodical approach to problem solving

    • Manufacturing Processes (Welding, Measuring Equipment, Customer Processes)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Tertiary Engineering/Trade Qualification
    • Minimum 3 years experience in internal quality auditing within the automotive environment
    • Minimum 3 years experience in a quality department in the automotive industry
    • Minimum 3 years within a process engineering discipline.

    Maintenance Shift Leader - Pretoria

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Communication
    • Problem solving
    • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
    • Electrical, hydraulic & PLC fault finding
    • Ability to read and understand Hydraulic/Pneumatic drawings
    • Able to programme Robotics & PLC
    • Cross train subordinates & give support where and when required

    Knowledge required:

    • PLC Programming (Siemens S5, S7, Festo, Omron)
    • CNC (Indramat, Fidia, Fanuc)
    • Robotics (Kuka, ABB, Motoman, Phillips, AEC)
    • AC/DC/Servo Drives experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • N6 / National Diploma with 5-10 years’ experience in automation/instrumentation field within the automotive environment
    • T3/S4 Diploma will be an advantage
    • 5 years as a technician in the electrical field, especially in automation (hydraulics and general maintenance/projects)
