    Lead Mechanical Engineer

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Conduct timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent.
    • Approve, guide and review engineering designs, including calculations and designs development.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes.
    • Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly.
    • Liaise with and provide professional support to drafting team in the preparation of drawing deliverables.
    • Provide assistance to monitor the design and drafting progress.
    • Develop technical documentation including scopes of work and specifications using relevant industry standards and guidelines.
    • Approve and assist with the delivery of accurate engineering lists including but not limited to equipment, lubrication, spares, valves, pipeline and special items.
    • Approve and assist with the delivery of accurate material take-offs as and when required.
    • Evaluate and approve tenders, provide technical recommendations for the purchase of mechanical equipment from vendors where necessary.
    • Review and approve certified vendor documentation and disseminate the information to the appropriate personnel for interface checking.
    • Interdisciplinary co-ordination of technical aspects of the design.
    • Approve and assist with the delivery of engineering documentation in relation to scope, quantities, cost and schedule.
    • Understand and educate the team of the latest developments to Industry and Project specific codes, standards and related engineering matters.
    • Register and file all relevant engineering documentation in accordance to the Company approved procedures.
    • Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.
    • Maximise the productivity and efficiency of the discipline by planning, scheduling and the appropriate allocation of resources to ensure deliverables are met.
    • Contribute to engineers-in-training professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
    • Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities for continuous improvement.
    • Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
    • Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.

    The expertise you'll bring

    • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in mineral processing and/or related industries.
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
    • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident

    Senior Mechanical Engineer

    Principal Process Engineer

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Ensure that Process Engineering activities are conducted to the highest quality, ethical and in line with Company, Client and regulatory requirement.
    • Establish design standards in areas of expertise for the process team.
    • Coordinate the resources necessary to ensure that studies are completed on time, on budget and to the appropriate standard.

    Junior Data Engineer

    The tasks you’ll perform

    • Design, develop and maintain data structures.
    • Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, transform, store and share / integrate data across platforms.
    • Set up and administer database-centred engineering software applications.
    • Configure and manage data storage solutions including object orientated SQL databases.

    • Tertiary level qualification in Chemical / Mechatronic / Mechanical or similar.
    • Specialised training and/or proven experience in data architecture and data integration using APL’s and software programming.
    • Knowledge and/or proven experience with object-orientated SQL databases.
    • Proven experience working in CAD – MicroStation / AutoCAD / SolidWorks.

    IT Senior Systems Administrator

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, all site IT systems, backup, and server/network infrastructure, including firewalls, physical/virtual servers, network switches, WIFI access points, data storage mediums, end user computers, mobile devices, printers/copiers, UPS, RFID, and its related management solutions e.g., VMWare, Cisco Meraki, VPN solutions, SIP plans, Veeam.
    • Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, all site domain services including DC, AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, FTP, IIS, file/print services, MDT, remote desktop gateway.
    • Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, Intune, providing asset discovery, disk encryption (BitLocker), onboarding and management of all computers with Helpdesk.
    • Co-manage with the global IT Operations team, the Office365 technology stack.
    • Storage management, this includes local storage and cloud storage e.g., SharePoint for all sites.
    • Maintain the currency of site network diagrams for all sites.
    • Co-monitor with the global IT Operations team, the uptime of all server and network related equipment via PRTG.
    • Network management, including the maintenance of site main and backup Internet circuits, bandwidth management, vendor, and cost analysis for the African region.
    • Remediate, and be primary POC for site cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application related matters for the African region and to a lesser extent the Americas region.
    • Remediate, and make informed decisions as primary POC for all SOC escalated incidents during the African region work hours and to a lesser extent the Americas region.
    • Co-plan and execute tech refresh and IT projects for the African region.
    • Responsible for afterhours and in office hours patch management in collaboration with the global IT Operations teams, this includes workstations, servers, and networking devices in compliance with Australia’s Essentials 8 Maturity Level 1 for FY24/25.
    • Responsible for afterhours and in office hours vulnerability remediation in collaboration with the global IT Operations teams, this applies to critical application vulnerabilities flagged via the Vulnerability Management platform.
    • Manage Active Directory user commissioning, decommissioning and group policy management in collaboration with the global IT Operations team, Helpdesk and HR.
    • Contribute to an SLA of uptime of 99.9% for Lycopodium’s global IT services across all sites, this translates to an unscheduled downtime of no more than 8.5hrs each year.
    • Technical advisor to IT Project Manager and IT Operations Manager for all new project initiatives in relation to the African Region.

    The expertise you'll bring

    • Information Technology Degree or similar. 
    • 3 years of experience managing corporate Windows Server infrastructure
    • 3 years of experience managing corporate Network infrastructure
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent will be advantageous.
    • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent will be advantageous.
    • Cybersecurity related qualifications and work experience will be advantageous.
    • A minimum of 3 years in a similar role and minimum of 10 years in Information Technology roles
    • Demonstrable experience working with networks including cloud access, VPN, Wi-Fi, telecommunications and network related security.
    • Demonstrable experience working with security products such as mail, web, endpoint, identity, mobile devices, multifactor, SIEM & Log management software.
