    Senior Planner (FTC) - (1308)

    Profile Requirements:

    • Primavera Certification
    • Engineering Qualification will be advantageous
    • SAP and Primavera Superuser
    • Microsoft Projects

    Experience:

    • 10 - 15 years’ in project planning environment
    • Exposure to large scale projects
    • Boiler construction experience will be advantageous

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Compile a consolidated schedule for project Vuselela by combining all available information and sub-schedules available.
    • Coordinate the planning and scheduling function for project Vuselela.
    • Stakeholder management
    • Ensure process and resource optimization
    • Develop and maintain the project schedule on Microsoft projects / Primavera
    • Proactively obtain progress updates from construction personnel or appointed contractors
    • Field validation of construction progress
    • Integration of project schedules into project Vuselela master plan
    • Compile weekly and monthly schedule progress reports and S-Curve development
    • Flag schedule risks to management
    • Identify mitigations for schedule risks and issues

    Quantity Surveyor (FTC) - (1309)

    Profile Requirements:

    • BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent
    • South African Council of the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) registration
    • South African Council for the Projects and Construction Management Profession (SACPCMP) registration
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) with PMI (Project Management Institute) or equivalent advantageous

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years in Project Management & Quantity Surveying
    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior or specialist role
    • Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6 or other Project Management software advantageous
    • Supervisory experience is advantageous 

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Safety, Risk, Environment & Community: Zero harm, respect the environment and the community by ensuring compliance to SHEQ systems, standards, and legislative requirements for annual Shuts
    • Relationship development: delivering the  project outcomes in a safe manner, on time, in cost budget and with agreed quality requirements by working cross-functionally across all the project disciplines (i.e., Procurement, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, Process).
    • Manage project  cost and risks (including Bill of Quantity / Pricing Schedules, cash flows, analyzing and evaluating pricing, assessing variations , payment certificates and invoices, etc) and drive cost reduction
    • Align cost forecasts and adjudicate tender quotations: Ensuring costs reflect scope & verifying contractor rates with industry established norms; considering vendor inputs, site instructions, claim forecasts, tariff increases and volume increases
    • Working with procurement to select the best contracting strategy for each job to minimize cost and maximize productivity (within the constraints of safety, environment, cost, duration, scope, quality, risks, and available resources)
    • Drafting, analyzing, and evaluating Bill of Quantity or Pricing Schedule for tenders.
    • Verifying Invoices: Ensuring that we pay for actual work done when using cost re-measurable contracts
    • Participating in tender evaluations and ensuring that the best contractors are selected in conjunction with the  Project team and in line with Procurement practice (ensure alignment of contractor rates between Maintenance, Annual Shut, and projects / Capex)
    • Assist with preparation of cost reports per contractor (daily, weekly, monthly, close-out reports)

    Contracts Manager (FTC) - (1310)

    Profile Requirements:

    • Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Law or category relevant.
    • CIPS registration and / or qualification would be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 10 - 15 years in Procurement and Contract management environment in the construction industry.
    • Procurement in international environment and exposure to the procurement and contract management of capital goods and construction works
    • In depth understanding of construction bill of quantities and their application in contract management. 

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Adhere to the Project sourcing strategies and road-maps for the procurement of capital goods and related services to ensure best practice.
    • 1Management of daily capital procurement requirements including drafting contracts, placing orders, pricing, supplier payment and account queries
    • Ensure alignment with the Group Procurement team
    • Scope and source at a global level
    • Plans and executes RFQ and tenders , evaluate tenders and RFQ’s, prepare and approve RFQ/ tender evaluation
    • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations to ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership for Mondi.
    • Drives cost saving initiatives
    • Draft and finalize contracts within the management guidelines and Mondi’s Policy. Assist to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs
    • Manage contract post award, that is, issuing and responding to contractual letters, manage and evaluate variation orders
    • Drafting and finalizing contract amendments.
    • Review and assess variation orders.  Manage variation order register.
    • Issuing, responding, and closing out Early warnings.  Attending risk reduction meetings.  Managing Early warning register.
    • Conduct supplier relationship management including supplier audits and evaluations as required from time to time
    • Perform regular market analysis and benchmarking
    • Focus on buying channel digitalization and automation
    • Monitor risks and ensure that the strategy and road-maps are adjusted to account for any changes
    • Build strong relationship with Project team
