    Projects Expeditor - Johannesburg

    What needs to be done?

    • Print and go through production schedules and project schedules to identify orders placed against jobs/projects and ensure that delivery takes place within the required project contractual time framework.
    • Update production/procurement schedules to indicate completed orders thereby ensuring that completed orders are no longer tracked.
    • Issue RFQ’s and obtain supplier quotes against project bills of material, when required.
    • Conduct supplier progress assessments in order to identify problematic and good suppliers and initiate a corrective action process when necessary.
    • Attend to production queries by identifying causes of procurement problems, in order to give feedback and recommend appropriate solutions and ensure that problems are resolved and do not escalate.
    • Adhere to Howden environmental, health and safety standards to ensure that the company comply with relevant legislation and quality assurance management systems.
    • Conduct suppliers’ audits on regular basis with QA
    • Review and submit VO’s from supplier’s for approval by project team.
    • Process AX orders with suppliers who meet the set criteria to ensure that orders are delivered on time and according to set standards. 
    • Receiving Forwarder’s Invoice, Issuing PO and submitting to Finance for payment release based on agreed payment term.
    • SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls.

    What do you need to bring? 

    • Engineering/ Technical qualification
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a purchasing and project management environment
    • Good communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of logistics procedures.
    • Expediting in a manufacturing environment
    • Expediting in a projects environment
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

    Document Controller & Planner - Johannesburg

    What needs to be done?

    • Planning: Set-up, implement and maintain a system for coordinating all engineering activities in terms of on time deliveries and budget.
    • Capture and maintain up to date record of engineering hours spent on contracts on hand.
    • Report on the work hours spent vs budgeted in engineering department.
    • Keep records of on time delivery targets and report on contract engineering progress.
    • Document control: Issuing of all drawings on behalf of JHH engineering. Control of document storage including drawing on Howden document control system.
    • Perform adhoc duties as required.
    • SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls.

    What do you need to bring? 

    • Grade 12/ Matric
    • Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration or related field.
    • At least 5 years experience in a similar position within an engineering environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project
    • Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault
    • Computer literate
    • Deadline driven and good analytical skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects at a time.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Project Cost Controller - Johannesburg

    What needs to be done?

    • Information Flow Control: Control the information flow for all finance related aspects of the project/s into the financial system to ensure accurate, complete and valid project financial reporting, timely processing of invoices and collections and timely payment of suppliers.
    • Project financial Management: Responsible for job contracts cost management to determine cooperation with project managers in the development of project. Cost projections to ensure that acceptable profitable levels are achieved. Maintain the company's vendor list in consultation with Procurement and QA to ensure that only approved vendors are loaded onto the system. Design and maintain costing reports through which the underlying cost drivers in Projects, Manufacturing and Service areas can be understood and managed.
    • Reporting: Responsible for weekly reporting on project/s. Assist with monthly CRS reporting and operational reporting: weekly operations and cashflow reports; monthly results reporting of all project aspects and project margin report.
    • Accounting and Auditing:  Support Balance sheet reconciliations. Sub ledger and general ledger journal preparation and processing. Eliminate reconciling items and resolve queries. Assisting external auditors with annual audit verification work on projects to justify amounts incorporated into the trial balance.
    • General: Proactively manage the Customer funding position on Open jobs. Support commercial management of the project. Responsible for other ad hoc duties as may be delegated from time to time.
    • SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls.

    What do you need to bring? 

    • BCom/National Diploma in related field (Management accounting / Cost accounting / Finance)
    • 5+ years related experience in a project environment.
    • Knowledge of ERP based financial reporting systems.
    • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
    • Computer literate
    • Good communication skills (verbal, read and write)
    • Deadline driven and good analytical skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure
