    Specialist-Financial Accounting

    Job Description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Month-End and Financial Reporting

    • Prepare and process month-end journals
    • Complete month-end forms and reporting requirements
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews
    • Clear control and connection accounts
    • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
    • Respond to audit queries and assist with Annual Financial Statement (AFS) preparation

    Lease and IFRS Accounting

    • Maintain IFRS rental schedules and process additions, changes, and terminations
    • Clear IFRS lease-related accounts
    • Keep track of lease movements and maintain lease checklists

    Reconciliations and Compliance

    • Perform intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
    • Monitor and reconcile payroll uploads and related transactions
    • Track fixed asset register and ensure accurate record keeping
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

    Operational and Reporting Support

    • Prepare cost center reports and analyze departmental spend
    • Monitor company operating expenditure (Opex)
    • Compile and submit required schedules (e.g., vehicle finance, insurance, and travel schedules)
    • Perform invoice verification and track supplier invoices
    • Ensure travel claims are submitted and processed
    • Support budget preparation and uploads

    Regional and Project Support

    • Support Defy East Africa financial reporting and management accounts
    • Prepare and submit required financial reports within set timelines
    • Assist with tax-related reporting requirements, including Kenya tax computations
    • Provide financial support for Project E tax incentive requirements

    General Responsibilities

    • Manage internal finance-related queries
    • Assist team members with reconciliations and matching processes (e.g., GRIR matching)
    • Perform ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
    • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 1–5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting environment
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
    • Experience with reconciliations, journals, and month-end procedures
    • Knowledge of IFRS, particularly lease accounting (advantageous)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP or similar ERP systems)

    Spares Clerk

    Job Description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Receives, inspects and pack spares in correct bin locations
    • Quantity and condition of spares is checked at the point of receiving
    • Queries to suppliers raised and timeously closed off
    • Picks spares as per picking list supplied for branches, sales, AP orders.
    • Quantity and condition of spares picked is accurately checked.
    • Packs spares as per Company specifications
    • Dispatches spares as per instructions on picking lists
    • Conducts stock counts as per Company procedures (Daily, Monthly)
    • Ensures stocks are correct and available at all times, advises Spares Advisor/Manager accordingly
    • Presents stocks for audits/stock counts as required
    • Housekeeping
    • Maintaining bin accuracy and consolidating stock as required
    • Enters all spares received/dispatched onto spares system
    • Record keeping, i.e. completion and filing of required documentation (POD’s, IBST’s, waybills)
    • Attending to branch queries and supplier queries
    • Assist Technicians/Contractor with part numbers etc
    • System maintenance
    • Adhoc tasks related to warehousing and administration as required by spares Associate/ Lead / Manager.

     MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of Grade 12 with proven experience in a spares or similar environment.
    • Be able to work proficiently with figures.
    • Good communication skills and computer literacy (esp SAP/WMS and Microsoft office)
    • A valid forklift, Reach Truck & or Order Picker driver's license will be a definite advantage.

    Senior - Customer Care Executive

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  

    • To coordinate a section of the service function efficiently in order to provide superior after sales service to dealers, customers and the sales department in line with regional and national objectives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Manage the service function effectively to achieve agreed service and sales objectives.
    • Ensure achievement of Field KPI targets set by GCC, including but not limited to NPS, First-Time Fix (FTF), and Turnaround Time (TAT).

    • Monitor and control the usage and operating costs of company vehicles.

    • Provide accurate and timely field feedback to support continuous product quality improvement.
    • Identify recurring issues and collaborate with QA to reduce repeat failures.
    • Provide ongoing product knowledge and technical training to service advisors and service partners/technicians.
    • Support performance management and skills development of field staff.
    • Recruit, onboard, and replace agents and contractors as required to ensure operational continuity

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Applicants should have a qualified artisan certificate and or BSC degree (Mechanical /Electrical engineering)/
    • Qualified Artisans in possession of an appropriate trade test certificate with a Minimum of N.T.C. 3 or equivalent.
    • At least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial position
