Boekenhoutskloof was officially established in 1776 - one of the oldest farms in Franschhoek. Today, the Boekenhoutskloof farm belongs to Boekenhoutskloof Investments (Pty) Ltd, who since 1996 have re-introduced wine production to the property. Lead by Cellar Master Marc Kent (South African Winemaker of the Year, 2007), the winery is now regarded as one of SA’s top producers. As a producer, Boekenhoutskloof is a Syrah specialist, with its premium Boekenhoutskloof range selling out on release each vintage, and The Chocolate Block - a Syrah based blend - is probably the most successful new wine offering to come out of South Africa in the modern era.
Boekenhoutskloof Winery is seeking to employ a Logistics and Export Manager at its Helderberg facility, located between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. With a brand portfolio that is well-established domestically and internationally, we pride ourselves in the quality of our wines as we continuously strive for excellence in all areas of our operations.
Role in the Company
The Logistics & Export Manager’s role is to ensure availability of stock to meet demand as and when needed, by processing orders, liaising with distribution partners regarding ready dates, drawing up effective production schedules, coordinating the procurement of the necessary dry goods as well as overseeing the warehousing function, including stock control right through to successful loading of consignments and the completion of the associated administration. This goes hand in hand with smooth flow of communication to all relevant parties, consisting internally of the winemaking- and production teams, and externally of customers, distribution- and logistics partners.
