  • Boekenhoutskloof was officially established in 1776 - one of the oldest farms in Franschhoek. Today, the Boekenhoutskloof farm belongs to Boekenhoutskloof Investments (Pty) Ltd, who since 1996 have re-introduced wine production to the property. Lead by Cellar Master Marc Kent (South African Winemaker of the Year, 2007), the winery is now regarded as one of SA’s top producers. As a producer, Boekenhoutskloof is a Syrah specialist, with its premium Boekenhoutskloof range selling out on release each vintage, and The Chocolate Block - a Syrah based blend - is probably the most successful new wine offering to come out of South Africa in the modern era.
