    Talent Acquisition Manager

    Job description

    Core purpose of the Job:

    The role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and value adding, start-to-end talent acquisition function for MTN SA through the

    Implementation of talent acquisition best practice of identifying and attracting the best available talents to assist the organization. As well as directly managing the talent acquisition team to succeeding and contributing to HR leadership goals and strategies.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education:

    3 year Diploma/Degree in HR Management or related field.

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience in an HR Recruitment/Talent Acquisition function; experience in supervising others advantageous.
    • Experience in HR Generalist role advantageous.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Operational Planning

    • Develop a long-term recruitment plan (1-2 years) for the organisation
    • Engage, understand and contribute towards strategic discussions in order to align functional expertise to business needs.
    • Provide input into identifying ways to fine tune systems in line with changing work practices, updating recruitment policies, processes and procedures as necessary.
    • Continuously look for ways to improve performance of the processes, policies and guidelines, (including leveraging IT to improve efficiency)
    • Research and consider best practice, local conditions, trends, as well as competitor activity to stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques (e.g. online recruiting resources)
    • Facilitate and promote a positive climate of mutual trust and respect within and surrounding the HR business unit
    • Facilitate the design of tailored interventions to meet agreed strategic objectives and business needs.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as the identification of talent issues in order to identify and mitigate risk.
    • Leverage specialist resources to strategically drive the identification, acquisition and advancement of top talent to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
    • Drive the research, design and customization of Talent acquisition interventions aligned with achieving broader business talent requirements.
    • Collaborate with HR Operations and the different COE’s continually to improve processes.

    Operational Delivery

    • Managing vendor relationships and setting vendor governance standards
    • Build strategic relationships with higher educational institutions and vendors
    • Develops and delivers sophisticated rollout and communication initiatives to ensure awareness and impact as required
    • Nurtures strategic partnerships with strategic stakeholders to ensure that a high quality integrated service is provided on time and to budget
    • Acts as an advisor to business leaders providing expert support on multifaceted talent issues in relevant work areas.
    • Increase talent acquisition process efficiency on an ongoing basis
    • Provide advisory and consulting services to executive management teams regarding key talent strategies and issues
    • Guide strategic HR Business Partners on building a talent pipeline and pool that contributes to building key capabilities and delivery of strategic objectives
    • Keep abreast of industry, competitor and HR trends in the markets
    • Understand and implement the recruitment value chain.
    • Plan and execute basic research, including the gathering, analysing, synthesising and interpretation of information on HRM issues.
    • Implement operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of recruiting
    • Monitor the operational delivery of the recruitment teams to ensure that quality service is delivered on time and against agreed Service Level Agreements
    • Identify and evaluate the risks related to recruitment operations and propose, motivate and implement measures to control the risks
    • Responsible for monitoring and driving key talent acquisition metrics
    • Deploy Talent Acquisition projects and programs
    • Ability to use analytics and metrics to drive decisions and positively impact overall performance

    Budget Management

    • Responsible for forecasting, planning, development and review of the recruitment budget for the organisation
    • Manage appropriate expenditure within the delegation of authority
    • Administer the expenses according to the budget and monitor the monthly cost budget.
    • Provide the Chief HR Officer with monthly financial cost reports
