    Administration Manager

    Job description

    PURPOSE:

    To manage and maintain an efficient administration service within the Learning & Development Department and office.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Administration in respect of training courses and service providers
    • Contracting and supporting services of outside providers
    •  Ensuring payments are done timeously on in•house accounting system
    •  Ensuring training venues are suitably arranged and prepared.
    •  This includes necessary equipment, refreshments, and training materials
    •  Ensuring all training records are up•to•date for various reporting purposes
    •  Reports include the WSP, ATR and internal monthly reports
    •  Ensuring that Wages Department receives training attendance records timeously
    •  Loading and updating of training information on HR System (CRS)
    •  Assisting with the Educational Assistance as well as Bursary Programmes
    •  Ensuring compliance with relevant Industry bodies viz. FoodBev SETA; TETA; SAMSA, in order to attain and maintain necessary accreditation and registration
    •  Day to day administration duties include:
    •  Maintaining an effective filing system
    •  Controlling all L&D’s assets (i.e. projectors, laptops, cameras, stationery, etc)
    •  Managing daily records of assessors/moderators and filing these securely

    REQUIREMENTS:

    •  Relevant Tertiary or industry qualification
    •  Proven relevant administration experience within an L&D environment is essential
    •  Advanced MS computer skills essential (MS Word; MS Excel,)
    •  Indepth knowledge and experience of SETA and Skills Development Legislation and its application preferable
    •  Fluent in both English and Afrikaans essential; isiXhosa(advantageous)
    •  Understanding of Learnerships and Apprenticeships within production environment

    KEY COMPETENCIES:

    • Proven leadership skills; Tenacity in establishing an efficient Admin Unit within L&D.
    • Analytical ability
    •  Effective communication (written and verbal)
    •  Professional with sound integrity
    •  Excellent organisational skills; Logical thinker
