Administrator: ICT at Breede Valley Municipality

Duties: ·

• Ensure that computers peripheral equipment is functional and in working order so that library users/ staff can utilise it · Handle technical trouble shooting procedures to fix problems within libraries online/ telephonically · Visiting user sites to resolve applications and operational related problems · Referring complex problems to the ICT Support Officer
• · Support with setting up, installing and testing computer peripheral equipment and monitor functionality in the live environment · Organize regular on-site monitoring visits to libraries · Handle minor repairs to community access computers, equipment and devices ·
• Coordinate the removal of disposed equipment and the installation of refreshed equipment Support the Librarians with developmental/community programmes and projects within the library services Provide ICT support for promotional projects e.g. social media page
• Organise photography and promotional materials for the Library Services Provide training and guidance to individual library users with basic computer skills, creation of e-mail account, library information management system, Internet, e-books, and other electronic media etc Collate reports from libraries pertaining to hardware/software problems and communicating with the immediate superior Maintaining a proper registry and record management of ICT users Ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Information Technology Certificate (NQF Level 5)
• Valid Code B Drivers License
• 1 year relevant experience
• Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape

Preferred Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6)
• 2 years relevant experience
