Au Pair | Wellington | R23 000 - R25 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Wellington
• Children’s Ages: newborn and 3 year old
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:00 and every 2nd Saturday and Sunday 08:00 – 19:00 (1.5 days off during week when expected on a weekend) – tea breaks and lunch breaks provided throughout the day.
• School holiday hours: Same as above
• Live in or Live out: Live Out or In – Flatlet provided with own bedroom and bathroom.

Duties: 

• Main focus will be helping out with the toddler. Duties include get child ready for school in the mornings, take to school in the mornings, while she is at school, duties will include assisting the newborn; general care and supervision, changing nappies, preparing bottles, sterilising bottles, managing nap schedule, reading to them, singing, educational play and stimulation as they get older.
• Assist with children’s laundry, keeping their areas of the home neat and tidy. Collect eldest from school, take to extra-murals, grocery shopping on your behalf, engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, bathing your children, prepare meals for your children, occasional Babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement), Travel with the family

Special Requirements: 

• At least 3 - 5 years’ experience, qualifications: First Aid & CPR, childcare, ECD, water safety, cooking and household hygiene. Great driving skills. Afrikaans speaking or a great understanding.
• Patient, love of children, punctuality, flexible and adaptable, great communication skills, trustworthy, common sense, high emotional intelligence, confidentiality, mature, dependable, organization and time management.
• Flexibility, conflict resolution and discipline, knowledge of child development, creativity and planning, promoting healthy habits, empathy and compassion, organisational skills, well-groomed and able to be discreet with the family's matters. Able to 'read a room' when the parents or children are overwhelmed. Positive Role Modelling, Strong faith (Christian) is a bonus.
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – permanent  
• Salary: R23 000 - R25 000pm (Gross, before deductions) 

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
