Servest Catering, a division of the Servest Group has a vacancy for a Commercial and Compliance Manager. This is a crucial role in developing and executing the company's commercial strategy, overseeing sales, business development, BID and contract management. The role will include Compliance management tasks of contracts, SHEQ-controlled documents, and ISO documentation.
This role is for a highly self-motivated individual with natural leadership abilities, a proven client relationship background and customer relations skills, strong administrative skills, effective problem-solving skills, effective analytical skills, and effective report writing and presentation skills.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Degree / Diploma
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, with a track record
Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be persuasive and decisive
Experience in the large scale catering field will be advantageous
Commercial acumen and business sense
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Manage all aspects of BID management and tendering.
Lead and manage the sales team, including setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue goals.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams.
Analyse financial data, market trends, and competitor activity to make informed decisions and recommendations for pricing, product development, and market positioning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Lead and coordinate quality, and efficiency projects and activities to ensure continuous best practices and quality improvement.
Develop and manage budgets for the commercial department and provide regular forecasts and reports on financial performance.
Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment with the commercial strategy and overall business objectives.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's compliance program, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that affect the organization and ensure the company remains compliant.
Identify, assess, and prioritize compliance risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently followed and enforced, taking appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the company's operations and business processes to identify and address compliance gaps or weaknesses.
