Compactor/Tipper Truck Drivers (5 Positions) at Thabazimbi Local Municipality

• BASIC SALARY: Post Level 11 (179 247,96) per annum. Additional benefits attached to the position are as follows: ((i) Medical aid cover is subsidized by 60% of the total contribution for family members; (ii) Pension fund contribution by Municipality is 18% of basic salary; (iii) Housing subsidy is available on repayment of a bond provided that the house is registered in the name of the employee.
• QUALIFICATIONS: Grade 10 or ABET 4 or equivalent. Certificate. Operator certificates will serve as an advantage. Valid Code EC Drivers License plus PrDP.
• EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year relevant experience.
• KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Operate Heavy Duty Vehicle to and from designated working areas. Operate bucket to lift and transport bulk material such as soil, sand, pipes or debris to storages or load into truck. Utilize the loader to maintain the landfill/ dumping sites and other construction sites in the municipality.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of roads during construction and gravelling. Inspection of Machinery and report of visible defects. Preparedness to work overtime and standby duties as and when required.
