Control Room Supervisor at City of Tshwane

Job Purpose

• To monitor, manage and control the tasks fulfilled by the control centre, ensuring that all the operational activities of the Tshwane Rapid Transit system are seamlessly integrated and problem areas dealt with at the appropriate level of authority and intervention

Application Requirements:

• An appropriate three-year, career-related tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in Transport Management,
• Transportation or any other study field related to the position
• At least three years’ relevant experience in public transport management
• Supervisory experience will be an added advantage
• A valid Code B driving licence
• Computer literacy
• Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost
• Willingness and ability to be available at all hours

• Manage control centre activities
• Implement, manage and monitor communication information channels
• Assess risks, identify problems and monitor solutions
• Report on the status of operations
• Report, record and log faulty equipment and systems
