Controller - Budget and Treasury at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• One to two years’ experience.

Job purpose:

• Supervising, planning and controlling activities of staff in a Receipting section by ensuring and overseeing the implementation of legislation and council policies. Coordinating and ensuring application of account procedures associated with prepaid electricity vending, cash allocations through electronic cash payments and third-party payment processing. Initiating internal controls, receipting support, parking meter cash collection and courier services as well as receipting of cash for account payments at Treasury main offices (ETB office – Gqeberha and Uitenhage offices).
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
