Customer Service and Transport Manager

Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to our growth we are looking for an experienced Customer Service and Transport Manager to join our soon to be opened Distribution Centre in Polokwane.

Job Deliverables

The main role is to manage the communications with stores, their managers and regional managers and internally between departments including the transporters, to ensure our Customers (stores) receive a professional level of service delivery to all their requirements. To manage continuous, accurate information to stores with regard to orders placed, ETA’s and any store query.

Main job function

• Manage all relevant processes within customer services and transport.
• Regularly review systems, processes and data to identify risks within the allocation, operational, transport and flight plans, to proactively mitigate these risks early.
• To regularly monitor achievement of execution to plan.
• Execution and management of the transport reconciliation and signoff
• Ensure the accurate and on time generation and publishing all required reports.
• Management of all additional transport execution requirements.
• Customer orientated working to set KPIs

Qualifications and experience

• 3 year Degree /Diploma in customer service (supply chain)
• Transport experience and tracking of orders
• WMS systems and logistics software
• FMCG warehousing experience( must have 5 years proven experience)
