As a Cyber Security Architect at Capitec, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing advanced security solutions to safeguard our systems and data from evolving cyber threats.
With a minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity roles and at least 3 years specifically in a cybersecurity architecture capacity, you will leverage your hands-on experience with infrastructure and security tools to assess, enhance, and fortify our security frameworks.
Your role involves evaluating current architectures, identifying vulnerabilities, and crafting robust defenses, particularly in multi-cloud environments. Someone with expertise in emerging technologies and a deep understanding of security. Consult, design and implement robust security solutions that address current and emerging threats. Ensure Capitec systems and data are secure, compliant with industry standards, and resilient against cyberattacks.
Our ideal candidate has:
5+ years of experience in any cybersecurity role
3+ years in a cybersecurity architecture position
Working with infrastructure and security tools
Proven experience working in DevOps
Able to assess existing security architectures, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
Able to design and implement security frameworks for large-scale enterprises.
Proficient in Solution Architecture (Infrastructure, Application, Data, & Security)
Proficient in one or more security domains IAM, Network security, Endpoint security, Application security, Data Security, Cloud security, GRC.
Proficient in scripting and automation.
Able to formulate and document security policies, standards, guidelines and roadmaps. (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, POPIA, etc)

Completed a BSc in Computer Science
