    Developer (MES)

    Overview    

    • The MES Developer will form part of a small core development team that is creating an MES Framework at Omnia.
    • The candidate will be exposed to the latest Microsoft technologies, as well as innovations in the field of manufacturing systems.

    Qualifications    

    • BSc Information Technology/ BSc Computer Science

    Experience    

    • At least 1–2-year experience in Software development

    Duties    

    • Perform engineering and software development within the MES environment
    • Perform integration with process control systems
    • Develop interfaces to integrate with other systems
    • Assist with the development and support of the MES framework
    • Participate in the full software development life cycle

    Job Competencies    

    • High aptitude for programming and problem solving
    • Ability to work independently
    • Passion to keep abreast of the latest technologies and development environments
    • High competence levels in at least one application programming language (preferably C#)
    • Relation Database and Web Development programming capability preferable
