Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) designation — mandatory
• SAICA-accredited BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
• Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) — required to write SAICA board exams
• Completion of SAICA-approved training contract (articles) — 3 years practical experience
• Professional exams passed: Initial Test of Competence (ITC) and Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)
• Additional qualifications in Human Resources, such as a Diploma or Certificate in HR Management, will be an advantage
• Relevant certifications or training in payroll, labour law, or HR legislation (e.g., SABPP membership, Labour Law courses) are a plus
• Proficiency certifications or training in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the full financial function including GL, AR, AP, and month-end close
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Compile budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
• Ensure compliance with tax laws (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax) and manage submissions
• Lead the annual audit process and liaise with auditors
• Maintain and improve internal controls, financial systems, and accounting policies
• Provide financial insight and advice to senior management and operational teams
• Monitor cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings
