• AFGRI is thrilled to announce two incredible opportunities for talented and driven graduates to join our Grain Management Department on an exciting 18-month Graduate Programme commencing 1 February 2027. 
• This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about agriculture, commodity markets, grain management and commercial decision-making and are looking to build a career in the agricultural sector.
• The successful candidates will gain valuable practical exposure to grain management, agricultural markets, commercial analysis, risk management, grain logistics and the broader grain value chain.

Requirements

 Minimum Requirements

• Completed NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related commercial or agricultural discipline.
• Strong academic performance, particularly in quantitative, economic, agricultural or financial subjects.
• Computer literacy with practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• A valid driver's licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencement of the programme

Advantageous

The following will be considered and advantage:

• Exposure to grain production, agricultural markets, commodity trading, grain logistics or silo operations

Completion of the Agricultural Products Markets Dealers Exam, or short-course exposure to

• JSE agricultural derivatives
• Futures and options
• Hedging
• Price-risk management
• Vacation work, internship, job shadowing or other practical agricultural experience
• Postgraduate studies in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Finance or Risk Management
