Graphic Designer (Nelspruit, Head Office) at Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency

Requirements:

• The candidate must possess a minimum of a 3-year National Diploma/ Degree in Multimedia or
• Graphic Design qualification. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design. A valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, skills and competencies required: 

• Communications, Graphic Designing, Corporate Image, Media Monitoring, Web Design, Advanced interpersonal and communication, Excellent graphic skills, especially with design and photo-editing software; creative and innovation, Content Management Systems skills, Coordination, Advanced writing, Deadline driven; Team player, Organised, Attention to detail, Honesty and integrity and Confidentiality.

Key performance areas: 

• Liaising with divisions to determine their publications requirements to inform budget, Advising and implementing divisional proposals from typesetting through to design, print, production and time scales. Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, institutional logo, and website.
• Media Monitoring Develop the media monitoring plan/ template of the IUCMA for Print News Media and online news articles. Web Design and Web Content Management. Determining technical requirements for th IUCMA Websites. Designing website and pages layout. Enhance Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Implement the Corporate Identity Guideline. Design the IUCMA branding Material in line with the Corporate Identity Guidelines (standards and requirements). Design all marketing material for IUCMA. Package all artwork in print-ready format to printers (CMYK). Layout and Design of IUCMA Publications. Layout and design of publications e.g. (biannual Newsletter, Annual Reports; Water Quality Report etc). Layout and design of brochures, invitations, events programs and posters.
