    Group Specialist: Talent Management

    Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Group Specialist: Talent Management, to join the People & Culture team at CCBA. The role will report to the Group Head: Talent & Development.
    To support the execution of an integrated talent management strategy that accelerates the development of future leaders and aligns people practices with business goals. This role plays a pivotal part in driving effective talent reviews and capability building across markets, ensuring a strong and diverse leadership pipeline. By building bench strength, identifying critical talent, and enabling succession readiness, the role delivers measurable business impact and supports long-term growth.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Talent Management: Execute the talent management strategy across the business
    • Talent Mapping: Conduct comprehensive talent mapping to identify and analyse the skills, competencies, and potential of current and future employees. This includes assessing the workforce, identifying key roles, and aligning talent with the company's strategic goals.
    • Lead the talent reviews across the business to ensure accuracy, consistency and aligned mapping processes and outputs.
    • Talent Segmentation: Implement talent segmentation methodologies to prioritise talent needs systematically. This involves grouping employees based on shared characteristics such as skills, performance levels, and potential.
    • Talent Mapping Methodology: Develop and utilise a structured approach to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented employees. This includes outlining processes, tools, and systems needed to manage the employee lifecycle effectively, ensuring the right people are in the right roles with the right skills.
    • Manage the operational details of key talent segments in the business, ensuring talent mapping and succession planning, and track action plans and timelines.
    • Develop and implement build, buy, and borrow plans to address talent needs.
    • Ensure career progression plans are in place for top talent.
    • Manage action plans for top talent and ensure the learning team is briefed on requirements and timelines.
    • Secure budgets for development initiatives and ensure adherence to timelines.
    • Leadership and Best Practices: Lead best practice sessions with a community of practice for talent managers within the group.
    • Ensure leaders understand talent management and are fully engaged in identifying and growing talent.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate new trends and best practices in the talent management space.
    • Ensure the talent community and leaders are aligned, trained, and practicing the latest methodologies to retain and grow the talent pipeline.
    • Support capability building across the organisation (e.g. Talent Masterclasses)
    • Mentor Talent & Development Specialists on projects.
    • Systems and Processes: Manage and optimise talent management systems.
    • Ensure the effective use of resources and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
    • Collaborate with external vendors as needed.
    • Capability Development: Partner with the Learning and Development department to design and implement capability development programs based on feedback from the talent management process.
    • Ensure that development initiatives are aligned with the identified skill gaps and career progression plans.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of capability development programs and make adjustments as needed to meet organisational goals.
    • Partner with HR and Learning functions to develop competency & skills models.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Qualifications:

    • Honours degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications in Talent Management, or related Human Resources disciplines (e.g. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD); Coaching and leadership development are a plus.

    Experience:

    • 7+ years’ experience in a Talent Management role.
    • Proven success designing and implementing Talent management strategies, methodologies, systems, tools and processes.
    • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change.
    • Previous experience in HR Business Partnering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or group-level position.

    • Business acumen and data literacy.
    • Design thinking and co-creation methods.
