Key Performance Areas
Ensure effective and optimum marketing, communication and branding of the Recreation and Parks department, its services and programmes in adherence with the City’s Communication Handbook
Manage media related communications, identifying opportunities to promote the department through media releases whilst managing reputational risk, by responding to media enquiries within required timeframes in consultation with the Department of Communication
Ensure effective development and implementation of marketing and communication plans and tools in alignment with the City’s brand guidelines and Communication Handbook
Coordinate the development and implementation of a stakeholder interface/communication plan for the Department in collaboration with the Department of Communication
Foster positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help achieve successful operations, implement projects and programmes that raise the profile of the Department, thereby increasing goodwill for the City
Develop and coordinate appropriate promotional, branding and design material in accordance with the City’s Corporate Identity Guide
Support internal communication, drive staff morale and influence organisational culture through various communication platforms, including the staff newsletter, campaigns, targeted communication and produce artwork for promotional materials and digital content
Identify and define the short- and long-term objectives or plans associated with the Marketing and Communications Branch
Manage and control the financial functions of the Department’s marketing projects and events
