    Junior Psychometrist (APO)

    Requirements

    •  Honours in Industrial Psychology coupled with registration as a Psychometrist Independent Practice with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
    •  1 to 2 years’ experience as a registered Psychometrist. Experience should include behavioural evaluation, assessment administration, compilation of reports and feedback to management and candidates
    •  Discipline specific skills such as being certified in the use of psychometric instruments typically utilized by the City of Cape Town e.g. SHL’s OPQ and Ability Tests
    •  Valid Driver’s Licence

    Key Performance Areas

    •  Liaising with HR Practitioners, Service Providers, candidates and line managers to ensure assessments and feedbacks take place at appropriate times and venues, as well as virtually
    •  Ensure set up of all material and ensure systems are in place for the efficient running of the assessment process, face-to-face and virtually
    •  Assess candidates in line with Health Professions Council of SA regulations
    •  Test administration, scoring and role-playing, as well as observation and evaluation)
    •  Prepare assessment folders/documents for report writing and safe guarding of information
    •  Support Service Providers who administer Management Development Centres
    •  Write assessment summary reports under supervision of Psychologist
    •  Provide assessment feedback to clients and candidates at junior levels
    •  Capture, store and report on assessment data as required
    •  Stay abreast of changes in research and development of psychometric assessments and keep CPD units up to date

    Principal Technician - Project Management

    Requirements

    •  A National diploma or equivalent Technical certification
    •  Computer literacy
    •  Five (5) to eight (8) years relevant experience
    •  Psychically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
    •  Professional Driver’s Permit (D): Code B

    Key Performance Areas

    •  Manage the successful delivery of business projects/works across the life cycle within the stated constraints of scope, time, cost and stakeholder requirements
    •  Extensive focus on the project management aspect which would include: identifying and appraising the items of work, identifying goals and objectives, to establish performance measures, formulating the action plans, measuring the progress and managing all stakeholders
    •  Provide a tender management service inclusive of bill of quantities and technical specifications compilation service compliant with Construction Industry Development Board requirements and Supply Chain Management policies
    •  Implement appropriate communication strategies with management/internal and external clients
    •  Develop the technical knowhow and understanding of emerging contractors (including EPWP initiatives)
    •  Facilitate site meetings and presenting/outlining scope, terms and conditions, conducting inspections at specific worksites, managing quality and performance compliance and informing managing of non-compliance and provide problem solving solutions
    •  Manage compliance with legislation, policies, processes and procedures by applying the Municipal Systems Act, Municipal Finance Management Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental Management Act, Procurement policy processes and procedures and the Project Management policy processes and procedures
    •  Manage planned projects and programmes across various branches and provide the technical branch management, prepare a schedule for the maintenance of building structures, conduct detailed investigation, advising branch management
    •  Perform specific administrative tasks/activities associated with the updating and maintaining records/ information of work in progress and completed works through data management and reporting

    Senior Technician - Mechanical Ventilation

    Requirements

    •  An appropriate 3 year Post Matric degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    •  At least 5 years relevant experience
    •  Physical fitness
    •  A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    •  Enforce the National Building Control Regulations
    •  Investigate complaints
    •  Inspections and routine monitoring (exemptions, zoning and special consent, business licenses and building plans)
    •  Investigate mechanical and ventilation related noise complaints in terms of the Noise Control Regulations
    •  Perform administrative duties
    •  Undergoing skills training
    •  Initiate and coordinate community involvement within Sub-Districts

    Head - Communications and Marketing

    Requirements

    •   A relevant Bachelor’s degree
    •  Up to 8 years relevant experience, including team management
    •  PC Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro is preferable
    •  A valid driver’s licence and own transport is a requirement

    Key Performance Areas

    •  Ensure effective and optimum marketing, communication and branding of the Recreation and Parks department, its services and programmes in adherence with the City’s Communication Handbook
    •  Manage media related communications, identifying opportunities to promote the department through media releases whilst managing reputational risk, by responding to media enquiries within required timeframes in consultation with the Department of Communication
    •  Ensure effective development and implementation of marketing and communication plans and tools in alignment with the City’s brand guidelines and Communication Handbook
    •  Coordinate the development and implementation of a stakeholder interface/communication plan for the Department in collaboration with the Department of Communication
    •  Foster positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help achieve successful operations, implement projects and programmes that raise the profile of the Department, thereby increasing goodwill for the City
    •  Develop and coordinate appropriate promotional, branding and design material in accordance with the City’s Corporate Identity Guide
    •  Support internal communication, drive staff morale and influence organisational culture through various communication platforms, including the staff newsletter, campaigns, targeted communication and produce artwork for promotional materials and digital content
    •  Identify and define the short- and long-term objectives or plans associated with the Marketing and Communications Branch
    •  Manage and control the financial functions of the Department’s marketing projects and events
