Laboratory Technologist at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose: 

• To ensure that the Health Unit Food Safety laboratory is operational at all times and is able to render the services needs of the Environment Health components of the unit in an effective and efficient manner.
• To document and implement appropriate international and national norms and standards, the documenting and implementing of appropriate quality assurance systems, practices and procedures.

Essential Requirements: 

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Biotechnology or Biomedical Technology or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Current Registration with relevant professional body.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 Years relevant experience. •Computer Literacy.
