    Lecturer Accounting

    The Faculty of Economics and Finance in the department of Accounting has a permanent position for a Lecturer at Ga-Rankuwa Campus.
    Critical Performance Areas

    • Deliver and assess Taxation modules using effective, student-centered teaching strategies (overseeing delegated academic offering).
    • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to lecture Accounting modules as required.
    • Provide academic support and utilize digital tools (e.g LMS) to enhance student learning.
    • Actively participate in departmental research programmes focusing on
    • Accounting, Taxation and Finance issues.
    • Participate in research groups or collaborative projects.
    • Participate in the development, review and alignment of taxation and /or accounting curriculum.
    • Participate in departmental community projects.

    Minimum Requirements
    Academic qualifications

    • A Master’s Degree in Taxation (with an academic background in Accounting) or Master’s Degree in Accounting (specializing in Taxation).
    • Ought to engage in doctoral studies in the field of either Taxation or Accounting or completed doctoral degree in Accountancy or Taxation will be an added advantage.

    Experience

    • At least 3 years teaching experience at tertiary level or a minimum of three years of a discipline related work experience preferably in Taxation environment.
    • Registration with or exposure to professional bodies (e.g, SAICA, ACCA,SAIT) will be an added advantage.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Excellent written communication
    • Presentation skills
    • Computer skills
    • Ability to work with students
    • Ability to conduct workshops and seminars
    • Ms PowerPoint, Excel and Pastel Accounting
