Legal Advisor: Contract Management and Legal Compliance at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• B.Proc. or LLB degree.
• Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate (passed bar exam).
• Three years’ relevant post-admission experience.

Key attributes and competencies:

• Must be able to interpret and explain complex issues, legislation and legal documents at all levels within the Municipality.
• Be able to take a broad view, with sound judgment and professional maturity.
• Oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other official local language.
• Must have project management skills.
• Good report-writing and drafting skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Job purpose:

• Render professional legal advice to the Council and all its Directorates.
