Manager: Business Insight & Visualisation at Nedbank

Job Purpose

To use data driven insights to tell compelling stories about the bank’s performance through the use of dashboards and visualisations as well as to use analytical techniques to understand the economics of the bank; to interpret business results and to recommend innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain existing dashboards and tools and constantly seek ways to streamline the existing data value chain, from sourcing to ingestion through to loading, transformation and visualisation.
• Explore and develop new ways to streamline the current processes to gain more efficiencies and constantly improve the current Group Financial Control (GFC) dashboards.
• Deliver service to meet Nedbank internal client's requirements to enable all levels of management to spot opportunities and detect any problems early.
• Provide recommendations based on insights to different levels of management within Nedbank.
• Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
• Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
• Deliver a world-class service through others by ensuring a client centric culture.
• Identify areas of resource inefficiencies and promote optimization.
• Optimize efficiency and embed correct values.

Minimum Experience Level

• 5 years experience in an MIS role
• Experience with data manipulation and visualisation tools such as MicroStrategy and PowerBi

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
