Manager Product Payments at BankservAfrica

PURPOSE

The Product Manager is responsible for a suite of products within the Electronic Payments business unit. The core responsibility will be the management of the lifecycle of the respective product/s.

The Product Manager will manage the lifecycle of the product from the transition of a new product, its servicing and uptake of customers, ongoing enhancements and growth in collaboration with Group Payments Product Coordination and the Growth and Transformation team. In addition, this function proactively monitors the product performance and servicing against the customer SLA’s and manages the product risks.

• The specific activities under the Product Management role include (not limited to):
• Product Strategy and Lifecycle Management
• Product Performance Management and Value Enhancement
• Product Risk Management
• Product Change Management
• Volume forecasting and billing verification
• Input intannual pricing

Key stakeholders the Product Manager will engage with are:

Internal stakeholders

• Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM), Growth and Transformation (G&T), Product Service Management, Business Support, Group Payments Product Coordination, Delivery, Shared Services (Finance, Human Capital, Procurement)
• External stakeholders
• Customers (Bank participants, System operators, Users)
• Relevant regulatory bodies (SA Reserve Bank National Payments System Dept, PASA)
• The incumbent requires a good understanding of clearing and settlement processes.

• Product Life Cycle Management, all aspects of the day-to-day product management functions

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

• Product service knowledge 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of industry payments landscape (Inter-bank and regulatory)

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in inter-bank clearing and settlement processes
• The incumbent requires a good understanding of clearing and settlement processes.
