Key Performance Areas
Play an active role in driving the service delivery enablement programme of the City by facilitating collaboration meetings between governance programme owners and line directorate; including tracking actions;
Provide strategic support in respect of IDP, Service Delivery Business Improvement Program (SDBIP) and Organizational Performance Management (OPM);
Engage Corporate stakeholders and internal departments on establishing the directorate risk register;
Implementing and trekking of controls to mitigate risks;
Provide strategic and operational support and coordinate and assist in cross-cutting projects relevant to the Directorate and the City;
Provide linkage between departments in Corporate Finance and bring issues disrupting consolidation of the directorate to the attention of the CFO;
Resolve inter-departmental stresses detected, allowing a firm management focus on objectives;
Attend meetings on behalf of the CFO and report back on information that is important.
Monitor and evaluate the departments adherence to all relevant legislative best practices;
Manage the general administrative duties for the operational support function including monitoring and co-ordinate departmental Occupational Health and Safety matters;
Manage the preparedness of the CFO at the executive level, both internal and external;
Provide for a direct interface with political office bearers and senior management while upholding the responsiveness and integrity of the office of the CFO;
Communicate and engage with key stakeholders and facilitate and administer stakeholder engagement initiatives and related projects, practices and processes; including Service Level Agreements and enquiries;
Develop relevant systems, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with Policies, implementation guidelines and relevant legislation.
Disseminate, manage and coordinate various forms of information to ensure availability and accurate interpretation to inform decision making, including providing and maintaining a records management system
