An additional qualification in management will be an advantage
8 years’ experience in wastewater treatment at a senior management level
Pr Eng.(Professional Registration) or eligible to register as a professional engineer
Specialist knowledge in wastewater treatment process designs and operations involving large Wastewater Treatment Plants
A proven track record at managing complex engineering projects
Knowledge of relevant / applicable local authority legislation, regulations and policies
Valid EB (08) Driver’s Licence
Key Performance Areas
Serve as a member of Water & Sanitation's Management team, providing input into the strategic framework and contributing to the overall effective management of Water and Sanitation
Identify short, medium and long-term goals by developing and implementing a Wastewater Business Plan and a Master Plan for planning a 10- year horizon
Manage the design process, formulates the Capital works programme for the Wastewater Department
Manage the Implementation of capital projects and oversee Operations
Manage and maintaining a legal register of the 26 wastewater treatment plants and sea outfalls by timeously applying for and complying with Licences/Permits
Develop and implement comprehensive strategic asset management plans to ensure optimum reliability and service life of wastewater infrastructure assets
Directs and manages communication associated with duties and functions
Manages the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the provision of transversal management
Manage (organize, lead, direct, delegate and control) Capital and Operating Budgets for the Branch
Manage outcomes associated with the utilization, empowerment, productivity and performance of personnel within the branch
