Portfolio Manager, Equity Finance & Investments, IBO at Standard Bank Group

Job Description

• The role of the Portfolio Manager is to support the Equity Finance and Investments deal origination team with ongoing risk management of the portfolio transactions while providing portfolio performance information, analysis and up-to-date deal insights to senior stakeholders.
• The products include High Yield Mezzanine Debt, Investment Holdco Equity Financing, Private Equity LP Fund Finance Investments, Venture Capital, Direct/Co Investments, Preferred Equity and Quasi Investments. Instruments covered include Ordinary Equity Loans, Fixed Income, Preference Shares and Equity Warrants/Kickers.
• Ongoing analysis and management will focus on Non-Listed Equity valuations, Investment performance metric tracking, information undertakings, covenant trend analysis, regulatory capital reviews and support of the deal origination team in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree in Finance or MBA preferred
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is highly desirable

Experience

• Experience within a deal origination team in investment banking; or
• Experience as a Portfolio/Credit Manager; or
• Experience within corporate finance/transaction services at an audit firm.
