Procurement and Logistics Coordinator - Cape Town at Mulilo

Duties and responsibilities 

• Maintain the vendor database and vendor registration.
• Responsible to coordinate tenders and administer the process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement and logistics documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping records.
• Generate regular reports on procurement and logistics activities, providing insights into key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to project sites.
• Prepare purchase orders for minor purchases and consultants.
• Resolve logistics and transportation issues in a timely manner to minimize project delays.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes for procured materials and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to address any non-conformities and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in procurement and logistics activities.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement and logistics operations.
• Defects and warranty claims management
• Support the asset management team with ad-hoc procurement.

Required skills and education background

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Quantity Surveying Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the renewable energy industry
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and the South African regulatory environment
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
