BTech or degree in building, civil, chemical engineering (not mechanical or electrical) and project management qualification
A minimum of five (5) to six (6) years’ postgraduate experience in project management, construction of civil engineering and building projects, at an appropriate level
Eligibility for registration as a Professional Candidate Engineer/Technologist will be advantageous
Project management experience of major projects Computer literacy in Microsoft applications, SAP, MS Projects, SAP Project Systems (PS) and SAP Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
A valid driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
Provide efficient and effective project management services across the Scientific Services Branch in the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary science-related projects
Develop, manage, facilitate, coordinate, quality assure and implement a range of science related projects with various levels of risk and complexity
Develop frameworks to guide Scientific Services on the implementation of multiple projects
Implement the capital programme for Scientific Services in line with agreed objective
Monitor and report on budgetary, performance, impact and risk related matters in relation to project plans, objectives, targets and indicators
Research, analyse and disseminate factual information to inform or support the decisions and direction of projects
Prepare capital and operating impact within a planned project and manage and control expenditure against approved budget allocations
Coordinate and participate in corporate and specialised project management capability training programmes.
