    Publishing Sales Executive

    VUKA Group is looking for a young and dynamic Sales Executive, to join their project team in Johannesburg, to sell on multi-channel platforms including print and digital as well as a variety of other options for our clients. The ideal candidate would have experience in the B2B publishing space, and is eager to grow and learn and build relationships with key industry stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Consultative selling to new and existing clients
    • Ability to provide solutions based on client’s objectives and needs
    • Build and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients
    • Creative thinking on new opportunities and sourcing new clients
    • Keeping up to date with market trends and arriving at new marketing solutions to fit those trends
    • Efficient sales administration
    • Excellent communication skills with both clients and the internal team, and be able to articulate offerings to production team for deliverables
    • Business development at industry events and trade exhibitions
    • Accurate forecast abilities
    • Liaise with finance department to assist with credit control when required

    Key requirements:

    • Excellent track record of sales performance, in particular face-to-face, including objection handling, negotiation, relationship building, problem solving
    • Experience within the B2B media sales space; conferences and exhibitions
    • Confidence in conversing with VP and C-level prospects at peer-to-peer level
    • Demonstration of excellent market and product knowledge
    • Enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-activity
    • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
    • Outstanding telephone etiquette
    • The ability to understand client objectives and provide solutions
    • Effective organisation and time management
    • The ability to work both independently and as a team player
    • Motivated to reach and exceed targets
    • Assertiveness and confidence
