    Ready-to-Eat Production Manager - Simondium

    Requirements

    • A degree in food science, engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven track record with 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience in a ready-to-eat food production facility.
    • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
    • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for process improvement.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
    • Willingness to work overtime, night shifts and weekends when operationally required.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading and optimising our ready-to-eat production processes, ensuring efficient and consistent output.
    • Maintaining strict quality control measures to ensure our ready-to-eat products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • Managing and mentoring a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Engaging with relevant stakeholders, suppliers and customers on new product development (NPD), ensuring fulfilment of customer requirements.
    • Overseeing inventory levels, coordinating ordering, and managing supply chains to maintain production efficiency.
    • Continuously evaluating and improving production processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancements.
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety and regulatory standards.
