    Recruitment Officer

    POSITION OBJECTIVE:

    To ensure efficient and professional recruitment processes are followed in accordance with SANRAL’s recruitment policy and procedures as well as all prevailing recruitment regulatory frameworks. Solid understanding of the recruitment environment.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • A National Diploma or equivalent in Human Resource Management at an NQF level 6 level.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in HR Recruitment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Recruitment

    • Monitor and manage recruitment budget
    • Monitor and manage workforce plans, ensure alignment with the budget, employment equity plan and human capital policy.
    • Manage day-to-day national recruitment processes ensuring that recruitment needs meet business objectives.
    • Ensure standardised recruitment processes and compliance to HR policy and associated recruitment regulatory framework, codes of good practice in recruitment, talent pipelining and workforce planning, across all SANRAL offices. 
    • Ensure that recruitment procedure and selection documentation is completed from commencement of recruitment process to completion.
    • Serve as primary liaison with recruitment providers and online recruitment portal support personnel. 
    • Ensure that all necessary employment screening is conducted in line with SANRAL’s recruitment policy.
    • Conduct the entire recruitment process for SANRAL HO, including but not limited to:
      • Prepare job adverts
      • Submit role specifications on SANRAL’s applicable external and internal job advertising platforms.
      • Extend invitations to candidates to be interviewed.
      • Facilitate interviewing panel
      • Arrange interviews
      • Prepare offers for successful candidates
      • Draft regret letters and send them to unsuccessful candidates.

    Recruitment Reporting

    • Ensure all HR records in relation recruitment processes are maintained.
    • Present key HR metrics and initiatives to the HR Cluster at cluster meetings on a monthly basis.
    • Strive for continuous improvement of HR processes.
    • Provide input into workforce plan quarterly to support the business objectives.
    • Provide input for the monthly and quarterly reporting
    • Manage national recruitment contracts (recruitment agencies contract, verification contract, assessment contract).
