Recruitment Specialist (12 month contract) at Scatec Solar

Main purpose of position

• Currently we are looking for a Recruitment Specialist (12 month contract) in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Recruitment Specialist will run the full recruitment cycle including identify and select talent, interview applicants, provide in-depth advice to business and key stakeholders on Talent Acquisition processes and procedures, develop and enhance recruitment strategies, policies and processes, keep up to date with recruitment trends and to be the point of contact with external agencies.

Main responsibilities

• Establish relationships both internally and externally (e.g. employment agencies) to ensure effective communication, networking and benchmarking opportunities
• Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers and HR advisors to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs.
• Delivery of the entire recruitment process (including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection and placement of successful candidates
• Manage and negotiate the offer process and ensure that all relevant and required documentation and information is completed and signed off
• Ensure that the recruitment and selection process followed are aligned with company policy and procedure
• Provide professional recruitment support and advice to line and HR advisors on recruitment and Selection best practice and effective sourcing e.g. creative identification and utilization of alternative sourcing channels i.e. LinkedIn
• Proactive identification and research to identify potential candidates
• Perform searches for qualified candidates, using a variety of sources i.e. networking, social media, recruiting firms, internet recruiting, employee referrals
• Actively network and generate talent pool and pipeline of talent
• Maintain the candidate database

Qualifications 

• Relevant HR degree/diploma
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within recruitment preferably head-hunter experience
• Experience in MS Office suite
• CB interviewing techniques
• Knowledge of theories and methods associated with general HR Practice areas;
• Knowledge of theories and methods of specialist recruitment practice areas;
• Sound knowledge of legal aspects of HR (BCEA, LRA, EEA, etc)
